Prom acne problem

I'm taking accutane and I recently got into the purging phase and yes. It sucks. My prom is May 30 (two weeks exactly) and I was researching that some people still go through their initial breakout for months on end. I didn't have bad acne to begin with and regret even starting the medication.
I realize that I can't rush it or change it and I also can't take any other topical treatment or medication with accutane. But do you think there is anything that I could do to possibly reassure me that I won't look horrendous for prom?

I don't have any experience with accutane, but try to research if there are any complimentary treatments that your doctor recommends. Be careful what makeup you put on as they might make your acne worse, so just practice with light coverage and get someone to say how it looks - avoid caking on foundation in the next two weeks (if you wear it) and keep your hair clean, out of your face and avoid things like hairspray which could clog pores more. What areas of your face have acne? Honestly your best bet is to wait and be thankful that you have a treatment that's working, and since you didn't have bad acne before I'm sure it won't last for months - that would only be if you have really deep infections that take a while to come up. I'm sure you'll look great, and on the day, whatever your skin looks like, focus on your eyes to draw attention away from problem areas.

I'd definitely ask Jacqlyn, also I think it's different for everyone

Just get a really good full coverage foundation and some green and yellow concealer a for the day of prom, in the mean time, like Caoilfhionn said, wash your face and hair, keep your hair out of your face, change your pillow cases nightly if possible, don't wear any makeup till prom (it'll be good because you'll wow everyone with how awesome you'll look) and just practice with makeup a little, just wash it off and don't leave it on for too long! :)
