I can't tell what the picture is, is it a blister? A scab? Is it infected? Is she in pain?
If shes in pain she should see a doctor!

I've had that before, tell her to leave it alone for a day or so and the swelling/excess skin will go down and peel off. But if you keep playing with it, it'll stay for a while. If it's there for more than a week, and it begins to hurt, then you should go to a doctor :)

I get those all the time.
I just gargle salt water about three times a day and it goes away in about two days.
(they usually last longer than a week)

I agree with less that's an easier route to go make sure the water is a bit warm and mix in with salt and gargle it
