So I have an interview at a local insurance company for Administrative Assistant. I'm extremely excited! This is my dream job as dull as that sounds lol I'm wondering if you ladies think red suede heels would be appropriate. I'm required to dress business professional so I know not to be casual.

The rest of my outfit is black slacks with a matching blazer and a white blouse

I think the red heels would be fine - since there is no color in your clothes it sounds like the red heels would work well :) good luck!

I would wear black shoes with your outfit, the red ones are a good idea but it can look unserious for an interview, to have all the chances on your side keep your outfit classic :)

I think red would be just fine. Everything else is understated so making your shoes a statement piece to your look is fine. And they sound very classic. No glitter, spikes, chains or anything out there. Just a solid red heal? Yea I think it's fine! Rock that interview 😉

I agree with Raylene. Good luck!

Yes just a solid red heel, that's what I was thinking Diana and Raylene. But I definitely see your point Laura. My pants are very wide legged so the shoes will barely show and I don't have a pair of black heels :/

Maybe post a picture of the heels so we can see?

I was always told to wear all black (shoes) to an interview at college. But when I was interviewing, I asked my dad who is a CFO and has done a lot of hiring if that was the case, he said that as long as you look professional that's what counts. But it really depends on the individual company. Also, a few tips: pretend the person you're interviewing with is an old friend--you'll feel more confident. Also, research about the company and make it clear that you want *this* job not just any job. Lastly, remember you've already made it to an interview, so you've already made a good impression with your resume. Good luck!!

Well you don't need to go shopping unless you were secretly hoping for a reason to need new shoes.. If so then, oh hell no not red shoes!! (But no I seriously think your shoes would be perfect) ☺️

If you are worried you could go with nude heels if you don't have black.

Thank you Stephanie!
Lol Raylene I do want more heels but I'm on a budget and never have an occasion to wear heels. if I get hired I'll definitely buy a few pairs lol

Mari, I have to interview/hire people into my department, if the rest of your outfit is demure then wear the red heels, it shows personality and isn't innapropriate (and most here will tell you I am a nazi when it comes to interview questions) but a small pop of color shows some life. Good Luck, I know you can rock it girl, just remember, the most important and most attractive asset you have is that big brain.  :)

I think those heels will be just fine if not perfect!

I think the red heels will be fine. I wore a buttercup-yellow top to an interview with black trousers, a black blazer and black heels and got the job. It shows character and your personality

I agree, having conducted interviews for MLB, that those heels will be fine as long as the rest of your outfit is conservative. Rock on and good luck!
