I want to have a few dresses made for an occasion coming up. I don't know what to call the occasion. The men will be wearing suits, and the women will be wearing skirts or dresses. Not super formal that I need a gown, but I need something a little more than a sundress. Does that make sense? Also it will be between 90 and 105 degrees (35 to 40 Celsius) and ridiculously humid thanks to it being near the rainforest.
Here is my problem. I don't know what styles will suit me. I am 5 '9 with no curves, and I don't know what types of dresses will look right. What styles do you guys like? What styles will give me a little bit of a figure, while still being comfy and modest? I would like to stay away from maxi dresses, I feel they will be a bit too hot. And what colors should I stick with fabric wise? I have blonde hair, hazel eyes, and am super pale if that helps any.
Any suggestions? Sorry for the length :)

It think a dress that flares out at the hips will give the illusion of some curves (hope I make sense) but I would stay away for anything tightfitting(:

I know this isn't much help but I completely agree with Adahli on the style. It would look stunning on you.

I agree with fit and flare. I think if you added a belt in there at your hips or higher up it will create the curve illusion also. However, being taller, unless you want to look taller, don't put the belt too high. Also, a purple plum color, Navy, natural colors like Browns and beige would all look great with your hair eyes and skin tone.

Retro and pinup style is what first came to my mind cause they all are usualy somewhat modest and accentuate the curves... I would also stay away from all black dresses, those are classic, yes, but imo not so fitted for these ridiculous summer temperatures... Chelsea found exactly the type of dress I was thinking.
