Beauty Product Reviews

Total Dissapointment

I recently bought this in hopes of having an awesome new felt tip liner. I love all of their other products I have bought. Especially the Cream Liner trio's. This was such a disappointment compared to those. First of all the packaging is overly combersome and completely ridiculous for such a small pen.

Getting past the packaging, the product itself was just lackluster. It swatched great on my hand it made a nice dark black line, and you can make an ultra thin line or thicken it up easily. However when I went to apply it to my eye, it does not want to go on. I don't know if its a problem with the angle or what and product not saturating the felt tip or what, but even after several passes it doesn't go on opaque. It seems to just rub itself away in places.

I gave this 1 and a half stars because the formula is great, it doesn't budge from the swatch on my hand, but if you can't get it to apply to your eye, what good does that really do you?

I was very dissapointed, and would return it if I could. I would definitely pass on this, until they fix the application issue.

Love Love Love Mac

As most everyone I love mac eyeshadow. I am especially partial to their matte and veluxe pearl shadows. If I was rich I would own them all, but unfortunately I can't afford to throw down 14.00 bucks an eyeshadow very often so my collection is limited. They are definitely worth the investment though. Coppering is a must have for anyone with blue eyes.

Love their Special edition colors

I love the OPI formula. It tends to be very opaque and goes on great. I tend to buy stuff from their limited edition and special sets more than out of their base color stock. I don't wear a lot of the shades that are in their core collection, but love when they come out with their crazy glitters like in the Burlesque edition, or the great greens/blues from the Pirates of the Caribbean collection.

Super affordable.

I love their variety of colors. They are super affordable so I own quite a few. My only gripe about them is a lot of their really pretty more opalescent colors are way too sheer. You either have to do a minimum of 3 coats to get any kind of color payoff, or put it over a white base coat. Other than that I love them.

Great drugstore go to

I have this in blackest black and eggplant. I like them a lot for a drugstore brand, they're easy to apply and last all day. I have fallen asleep with it on and woken up and it hasn't budged. And I tend to sleep on the side of my face so I know I put it through the ringer as far as rubbing on things goes. They're great for the price, but I just wish the black lived up to its name of blackest black, it tends to be a more grey black on me than a true black. I tend to use them as an eyeshadow base the most for when I want a really dark smokey look.

Very dissapointed

I had heard such great things about this mascara and seen many YT gurus rave about it, so I broke down and got it. It was great for the first 3 applications and then it just turned horrible. It seemed to just dry up and not want to apply at all. I don't pump my mascara, and I keep it tightly sealed so air doesn't dry it out. Not sure what happened. If it would have kept applying like it did the first few applications I would have liked it a lot more.

Trendy but I like it

I own the black OPI shatter. It was my first shatter polish. I know its trendy right now, but I don't live in a heavily beauty saturated area so the appeal hasn't worn off for me yet. I still get compliments all the time when I wear it. Mine hasn't gotten goopy and I haven't had any applications issues with it yet, but I have read that is a major problem with it. If you think you're going to be "over" it quickly I wouldn't invest the 10 dollars, but if you see yourself not letting the novelty of it wear off quickly I would say its a fun polish to have.

Love their color selection

I am currently in love with Lilacism my first and only Essie polish so far. Its a gorgeous pastel purple. I like the formula its nice and opaque for being such a light color. It's also long lasting. I really want to try out some more of their colors.

Good Exfoliator

I like the Apricot scrub for some deep exfoliation once or twice a week. I found that if I used it much more than that it really dried out my face. But using it a few times a week alongside my normal skincare routine it kept my skin smooth and clear of blackheads. It's affordable and you can find it just about everywhere. My only recommendation is only use it a couple times a week, and make sure to rinse thoroughly. I have gotten out shower and gone to put on my moisturizer and found the granules stuck in my hairline or in my ears.

My go to primer

I love all four of the formulations. I tend to go with the original and the sin formulas the most. Sin is so pretty you can pretty much just put that on and some mascara and call it good. I like the new squeezable packaging a lot more, no more product waste because your applicator won't reach the bottom. It's a little pricey if you don't wear makeup a lot and you could get something cheaper. However if you are a makeup junkie it's definitely a must have for your makeup collection.
