Beauty Product Reviews

Longlasting, Beauitful Colors

This is a great product. The colors are opaque and vibrant, buildable, and blendable. They're also longlasting, though they will crease after a long while if you have oily eyelids. I'm not sure if I would say they are waterproof, but they are definitely highly water resistant. As long as you don't rub your eyes or try swimming for extended periods of time, then it will hold up. The only reason I'm not giving this a full 5 star rating is because there are many companies that have come out with duplicate products that are easier to work with.

Perfect Makeup Remover

This is my HG makeup remover.

Just one pump removes all of your face makeup, and depending on the amount, your eye makeup as well. If you bore a bold eye look, then another half pump will take care of it. Then when you splash water on your face, the oil turns into a milky soap and washes away. You don't need to rewash your face afterwards (though I usually do), making it perfect for all those nights when you just want to hurry up and get to bed!

But the reason this has become my HG makeup remover is due to how gentle it is. I don't recommend getting it into your eyes because you'll feel a slight film that blurs your vision, but it doesn't hurt or sting. Plus, other makeup removers, including Bifacil required too much rubbing which irritated the sensitive skin around my eyes.

It is slightly expensive, but it last a long, long time, and it's worth every penny! I definitely recommend.

Great Product All Around

After reading all the hype about this foundation, I knew I had to try it. It took me a while to finally give in and get it though, since I already had two foundations that I love. I'm glad I did though because this stuff is awesome!

The application is incredibly smooth, and a little goes a really long way! I generally only use around half a pump to one full pump, depending on how much coverage I want. Although it is not a full coverage foundation, it is definitely buildable; I recommend to only build it up where you need it. It looks flawless once on. The lasting power is very good as well--mine lasted around 9 hours before it began to fade.

The only reason this is not my everyday foundation is because I actually prefer some of my flaws to show through during an everyday situation. I'm just weird like that, I suppose. Otherwise, this would be my HG foundation, for sure!

Perfect in every way!

This was the very first Clarins product I ever tried, and I couldn't be more pleased! I have extremely dark undereye circles, and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't seem to cover them up. I'd get close if I used an extremely thick, creamy, opaque concealer, but then it'd start to crease and accentuate my fine lines. However, with this product, all my problems are solved! I can now use a lightweight liquid concealer without any problems.

I put this on after my foundation and before my concealer. As soon as it's on, my eyes are instantly brighter and more awake-looking. After letting it dry about 20-30 seconds, I put my concealer on, and VOILA! No more dark circles whatsoever! This has seriously been a godsend, and it is now my HG product of all time (even more so than my UDPP and that is saying a LOT)!

This was one of my biggest disappointments! I love gel and cream liners more than life itself! Due to my oily eyelids, regular pencils just can't hold up. However, this liner was worse than most of the pencils I owned! Within an hour or two, it was all over the place, even over top my UDPP! Plus it was pretty expensive for a drugstore product!

Overall, just spend the extra couple of bucks and get either MAC's Fluidline, Clinique's gel liner, or Smashbox's cream liner. Seriously.

I'm sad to say that this product wasn't what I hoped it would be. I've always used UDPP, but I was in the market for something new. After hearing all the hype on these paint pots, I decided that I had to try them. They made my shadows last longer, sure, but it still creased within an hour or two. Granted, I have significantly oily eyelids.

I will say that using these over my UDPP or TFSS, they're wonderful! I like the colors that they come in and how they can enhance my shadows' colors. I can recommend Blackout, Artifact, and Rubenesque.

Great universal palette!

As if this palette really needs another review, right? This palette has been popular for a year or more now, and there's good reason! This palette contains amazing, pigmented, buttery smooth shadows that can be used on an everyday basis! This will be the only palette you need for travel. This is probably my favorite thing since black eyeliner was invented lol. The only qualm I have with it is the fact that they replaced the dual-sided 24/7 pencils with a brush. That's not really a big deal for me since I already owned them plus 20 other types of liners, but it's the principle of the matter. Otherwise, it's definitely worth every penny!
