Light to Medium Best of Concealers

This is by far the most realistic, skin melding concealer formula I've ever worked with. It's like it's pre-warmed and just becomes one with your skin on application. The finish looks alive and not flat. The color correctors again are some of the best I've used. The formula is fine and fluid. If you are seeking a lot of coverage think about starting with a corrector shade first. Stippling the product as opposed to blending it around will also give you better coverage. I'm going out on a limb here to say it's similar to Touche Eclat but even better as coverage can be layered easier and does not get thick. I want to use the whole tube as foundation.

Thank you mother may I have another?

Lightweight and softly luminous sums this up. I am always on the lookout for a primer that layers effortlessly on top of three other products and it's not always easy to achieve. The BECCA Backlight Priming Filter held its own beautifully. The glow is on the candlelight side (neutral) and it is not over the top. There have been days where I stopped here and decided to forgo foundation due to loving the finish so much. I haven't had any issues with the product not following through on foundation longevity. Mine has lasted until I took it off in the evening. I started out with a sample and purchased the full size.

Color Combo Nirvana

The shades in the Modern Renaissance palette are gorgeous. Pigmentation and saturation is through the roof. My only complaint is the darker shades are not a pro blending formula. I have to work harder to diffuse and keep it even. But hey, it's a steal of a deal for 14 shadows. I didn't have creasing (without primer) and they do kick up quite a bit in the pans. Press your brushes into the cakes instead of swiping to help with this.

Neutral Bliss Basics (Smoky Nude)

Good for By Terry for adding this as a staple in the line. At $10 per shadow, it's a bargain, and the stamping of each shadow cake will make you feel as if you found it at Versailles. The pigmentation is middle of the road in terms of current competitors. The trade off is less fallout, which is a plus. I've had zero creasing wearing no primer. If you like to keep your look on the minimal pushing French girl, you'll love it. If you tend to duplicate Instagram looks you'll likely be disappointed. The shades themselves are elegant. I would have liked to see a light peach flesh tone as a base, but have been able to blend the shade together using three of the colors. I would buy it again.

A Lipstick

This is a lipstick with no extraordinary qualities to warrant the price. I purchased two at once in person and thought I would be overjoyed with the shades. The overall experience was a head scratcher. I would certainly be hating myself had I purchased both as full sizes at the higher price point. I found the shimmer in the lipsticks was not milled very finely and I did not like the way it showed up on my lips, or the way I could feel it on my lips. The experience was like a mild exfoliant. The actual formula was not up to par for a name like Tom Ford. It was a bit greasy instead of creamy. There are lipsticks at a very similar price point (full size) that are much more luxurious to wear and look better to boot. Now if you are dying to whip a TF cosmetic out in front of someone these are perfect to fit into a clutch and would give you a wow factor in the powder room. I would suggest starting with another brand first and following up with these for touch ups.

Star of Bumble

I started using Brilliantine four or five years ago to run through my dry hair to give it some texture and soft shine while keeping fly-a-ways at bay. It has a sort of "grip" to it allowing you to make your style a bit bolder and more volumous. The key is to experiment so you understand the right amount to use. Always start light and build. Too much will give you the opposite of what you are looking for. The product has morphed and stood the test of time through multiple hairstyles. It is my number one for cocktailing other hair products together. I use it as the base for softness, and light texture and control and add in Bumble and Bumble's Surfcomber Mousse to add additional texture and hold. It's great to add to any style to unpolish it, or even polish it. If you play around you will find it to be a multi tasked and biggest workhorse in your product arsenal.

Imperceptible

My favorite foundation for personal use has always been the original formula of Guerlain's Lingerie de Peau Invisible Skin Fusion foundation. The formula has been "improved" which is code for ruined, and luckily, I already knew Ellis Faas Skin Veil was a good dupe for the original formula. Skin Veil is imperceptible. Like, Guerlain's original Lingerie de Peau, it truly looks like a second skin. It doesn't pool into pores or emphasize fine lines and wrinkles. It wears very well for many hours. The reason I never chose it over my Guerlain was because it is a bit more drying and provides even less moisture. So if you are normal or dry, I advise you to make the most of your prep with a good moisture infusing serum. The coverage is light and if you have a breakout or dark circles you will have to use a separate concealing product to contend with it. It is worth the extra work to achieve the skin line finish of the product. So many products on the market now promise this kind of finish, but this one actually achieves it. If you want full coverage this is not your foundation.

Essential Palette

This is one of my top 5 favorite palettes, and considering how often I grab it, it ranks #2. It's just an effortless combination of shades that are super versatile. I love the pigment and find myself lining and smoking with three of the shades. They blend beautifully, but are a bit dusty in the pan. I don't get fallout so that is a plus. I've even contoured with the middle shade in a pinch. Worth the $ and I hope they keep this in the line permanently .

Great Palette

Every shade in this palette pulls together to give a naturally glowing complete look. I left off one star for the "Brighten," #1 eye shadow shade, which does not contain enough pigment for full coverage and was the only disappointment in the lot. If you have any veins that show through on the eyelid area, it just isn't enough to cover them fully, even with primer, and the texture of the shade is a bit chalky. The other two shades of e/s and the cheek products make up for this. The compact itself is a great size that packs and travels easily.

Perfect for on the go!

Super pale girls thinking about the X-Light for redness or blemishes: I will caution you that there is absolutely no yellow to the shade, and it is truly neutral to the point you won't find any redness cancelation and will have to rely solely on the pigment in the product, which means you will need to apply and pat carefully as to not "knock" it off of blemishes. With that said there is good cover, and I love it just to keep in my bag for touch ups on days I have a breakout. I knocked off a star for the texture, which is on the dry side, and works better with prepping.
