Beauty Product Reviews

Fiber primer mascara

I really like this primer for the fact that it has black, hair-like fibers in it and it gives a boost of volume to any mascara. However, I have mainly used it with waterproof mascaras so it obviously had good staying power, but I have yet to use it on a mascara that isn't waterproof like my beloved L'Oreal Millions of Lashes mascara.

A new staple!

I'm loving this product so much that I've started using it as a daily makeup remover (except for mascara). It literally get's all my makeup off, easily, gently and with not a single trace of residue. It doesn't sting my eyes one bit, and I do have large, sensitive eyes for sure. At $30 Singapore dollars however, it's pretty expensive, but well worth it.

beautiful, easy & sturdy

The colors and pigment are great! I can easily go from work to play, or day to night with this palette. Definitely a must if you travel to popular cities often (let's be logical, you wouldn't exactly wear this on a tropical island vacation) and you want to pack light in the beauty department. The tin aluminum packaging is also sturdy so it won't fracture or bend like the UD Naked palette. Good job Too Faced! A good replacement for the TF Naked Eye palette I lost.

The only concealer that stays put in the Singapore heat

So, either I would have to always have to primer under my concealer, or I could just use this. Living in Singapore means living with 80-100% everyday, 365 days a year. I love the heat, don't get me wrong, but it's damn annoying when all my beautiful hard work on my makeup for work just starts creasing and melting off within minutes of walking to the bus stop. Not pretty! I bought this essentially for that reason, because it can withstand the heat since it's got a waterproof formula. Also, have you see how big this tube is?! It will DEFINITELY last you a long time, even if you do use this daily for dark undereyes like myself. While I was in China, it was very dry and cold, and I did notice that in this instance you should moisturize at least a little bit. If not, it can get a bit dry, thus accentuating dry spots.

I use this product mainly on my dark circles but it works just as nice at concealing everything! The corners of my nose, pimples, whatever.

If it works in Singapore, It'll work for you!

If you know anything about this tiny little island, its that it's freakin HUMID, all day, everyday, 365 days a year. When you're here, you need a primer desperately because of the high humidity in this tropical city. I did an entire night out clubbing, with the hot & humid night drizzle, coming back home and sure enough, my makeup didn't even crease a bit! It looked as perfect as it did when I left the house. Oh and did I mention I got lost and started running around and was sweating like a gross pig in heels?! Even THEN, didn't budge.

So if it can survive the high heat & humidity of Singapore, people, it'll work for you!

Better Than All the Other Shu Uemura Cleansing Oils

I have tried the Whitefficient, A/O, Fresh and the classic Advanced formula. This one was the best out of all of them. Why? Because it doesn't contain mineral oil like the rest of the other formulas. This one ACTUALLY washed off unlike the other ones. I rinsed and rinsed and rinsed some more and the Fresh formula was the only one that didn't leave a greasy filmy residue. It was also the only one that washed off completely and didn't leave a single trace. I really liked this formula. It didn't break me out. And in case you were wondering, I have combination skin, leaning on the drier side but I've also been pretty blessed with good skin. So I don't normally break out, but I can definitely see how this product "might" break you out. As for the other formulas? They will DEFINITELY make you break out!

Stick with this formula, it's the best out of the bunch, no matter what skin condition you might have. For the high price of these products, this one is the only one that's worth purchasing.

Great for Sensitive Skin

I love this exfoliator. It's probably the only exfoliator where you can actually SEE & FEEL the dead skin coming off. Strange, I know, but oh so gratifying! It has a light smell of rubbing alcohol, but it doesn't linger for very long. If you take a look at the ingredients list, there isn't very many ingredients. This product doesn't have any physical or chemical abrasives like most exfoliators, but it's the only one where you can see the dead skin forming into tiny "beads" I guess you can say. I suggest using it at night because I actually saw brighter skin the next morning. But at $42 Singapore dollars, it's not cheap. Luckily it isn't a product you should use everyday. Keep it to 2 to 3 times a week at most.

Stunning!

Ok, I've never been a lipstick kind of person, I'm more of a lip balm, lip stain kind of girl. However, when I saw this lipstick and tried it on, I knew it was the start of something beautiful!

The texture is very rich and very pigmented! It also has a lovely scent. The color is a fuchsia/magenta color, perfect for special occasions or a night out in the city.

I'm going to be reviewing this lipstick on my blog very soon http://natsbeautybook.wordpress.com. I've added a swatch to this review with a lipliner I paired from Sephora. At just over $5 it's a great lip liner to pair for this lipstick if you're just going to be wearing it for special occasions.

Great stocking stuffers

This set usually comes out in the holiday season I noticed and it really is a perfect gift someone. If I have someone coming from overseas, stocking up on this is great for them just because they never know when they'll be back in the states. Besides, each tin lasts for over a year with constant use. I also like to purchase it and give the individual ones as stocking stuffers for family.

So stock up on this when you see it in the holidays!

A God Send

This stuff is amazing! I ran out of my Oribe conditioner so I decided to purchase this as a regular conditioner since I have naturally long hair. I used it the first time and my boyfriend thought I had cut my hair or that I had styled it. I actually didn't do a damn thing to my hair! The conditioner brought out the natural waves in my hair and made it super silky.

The label says to not use it more than twice a week, which is perfect because that's exactly how often I wash my anyway.

The smell is nice, but not very luxurious (if anyone has ever smelled Oribe products, you'll know what luxurious smells like). But whatever, the results are fantastic.

This tub is also very easy to find in stores, like Ulta, which makes it very convenient to purchase.
