Behind the Scenes with Sabi

At only 23, singer Sabi has already toured with Britney Spears, had a smash hit collaboration with Cobra Starship, and even had her latest single featured on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. So what was next for the pop star? A quick stop at last weekend's Beauty Social in Santa Monica, where she shared her go-to products, inspirations, and up-and-coming projects. Q: What are your Top 3 beauty products?

I always keep Maybelline’s red lipstick with me, because crimson lips will instantly glam up your look. I also carry a roller ball tube filled with my favorite perfume, Marc Jacobs Daisy—it's freshness on the go! Plus, I always have Make Up For Ever's powder compact in my bag. That way touch-ups for events are quick and easy!

Q: Who are your beauty and style inspirations?

Growing up I admired Aaliyah, Gwen Stefani, and TLC. But today I think M.I.A. and Santigold have a freshness about them. They are all cool, funky girls and I respect that.

Q: What’s next for you?

I'm hoping to drop an official single by the end of this year and an album in 2012!
