Hi Ladies!
Has anyone ever heard the AC Care products? It's a skin care system from Korea that uses bee venom to treat acne. Has anyone ever even heard of anything like this? I have moderate adult acne and I'm so tired of it! I've tried eeeeeeverything and all typed of products. I've been to 2 different dermatologists who both prescribed a pill and a face wash/moisturizer which worked but made my skin so dry that I started developing wrinkles! Yikes! Please help me! Thanks!

I wouldn't even try it. There are a lot of people that are allergic to bee venom (many don't realize because they've either never been stung or haven't been stung in many years). Not to mention it can be very toxic, and the toxic dosage varies from person to person. Just doesn't seem safe.
I don't even know how it can possibly treat acne.

I would keep with the derm, discussing my concerns, and counter dryness with a natural oil that doesn't clog pores.

Venom form various animals has been shown to have good medical promise. Since the venom is applied topically in a very low dose it doesn't pose much risk at all but I would still recommend a spot test before using it on your whole face :-)
It is possible bee venom may work for you.

Yikes! If the stuff your derm gave you works but is making your skin that dry I would just consider trying to find a much more nourishing moisturizer. Bee venom sounds a bit drastic honestly. And Emily makes great points as usual. I'd try something else before resorting to that. It could really irritate your skin and make everything even worse. If you still feel strongly about it bring it up with your derm and see what they say. I would definitely not use it on my own without a doctor's recommendation and guidance because of the allergic reaction risk. It really does sound kind of risky.

It sounds kinda scary lol but maybe you should give it a try. I was in Korea in December and they have these snail products which are supposed to be amazing for your skin. I'm sorry I forget what it's called but maybe try googling it.

Omg you guys I feel bad for all the bees that have to die just for these makeup products :( I'm sorry but I hate animal testing as well as using animal based products I understand a bee is an insect but did no one watch bee movie!? Poor bees!

Diana-from what I can find, bee venom is harvested without killing the bees :-)
Shauna-I just got a missha sample that contains snail slime! It smells awesome but I have no clue if it works lol
