Hair Chalk Help!!

Have any of you tried hair chalk? Does it work? How long does it last? What brands would you recommend? And would pastel purple/pink/blue show up on my hair?

Yes it works, it lasts until you wash it out. It's easier to put it on your hair and then straighten over it so that it doesn't get all over your clothes, and I'm pretty sure the colors would show up in your hair

They work better on darker hair. Blonde hair they tend not have a great effect they last one wash but leave a tint to the hair after washing, you should go for purples and blues on your beautiful hair colour. They work better on natural hair that hasn't been treated. Enjoy experimenting!!

Thanks Cece! I am actually glad that they only last one wash on light hair :) I am looking for a fun thing to do during the summer, but definitely don't want it to last longer than a few days. Any specific brands you recommend Cece?

They can come off pretty easily! I'm having powder paint thrown at me tomorrow for an art project, I'm going to see how long it lasts in my hair:) hopefully the same amount as hair chalk, free dye job yknow!:D.

Yes it works until you wash it, and some colors even took 2 washes for me. My brothers girlfriend has blonde hair and it looked so vibrant in her hair!

It works great! It just dries out you hair. Sidewalk chalk dries out your hands, hair chalk dries out your hair. You just have to use conditioner wherever you used chalk.
