Coconut oil-how to apply?

I just picked up my first jar of coconut oil ever! My hair has been feeling really dry and tangly lately, so I'm hoping this will do something. Just realized though...I don't know how to use it😬😬. How do I apply it? I have really long hair.

You can also use it on your lips, makes them nice and soft.

I put some on my hand. The warmth of my hand melts it. Then apply it from the roots, working my way up. I usually leave it their about ab hour before washing it of.
