For the most part they will fade naturally but try exfoliating daily or every other day to increase cell turnover. Check that gross acne scar on my forehead

You could try lavender or rosehip seed oil...it worked for my young scars.

Lavender is an essential oil, so it won't do anything other than irritate your skin and smell lovely.
Exfoliation ( Gentle ) Non -comedogenic oils ( Jojoba, Rosehip, Argan ) can all help with evening out your skin tone.

Go straight for an aha (alpha hydroxy) treatment it will exfoliate and improve the texture and color also use a vitiamin c serum it will fade the marks and brighten your whole complection. these two things will without a doubt fade those marks

AHA will help fade, but if you have sensitive skin, please, proceed with caution. It can irritate tender flesh and needs to be introduced slowly. Light peels and natural oils work wonders, but always do a test patch.

For at home remedy try a fresh lemon the vitamin c is a natural skin brightener - but it will still take time for the marks to completely fade

I'm sorry but I'm sick of people saying lemon is bad for skin and PH is too low - that is simply not true - if you don't have overly dry or sensitive skin lemons are just fine - here is an article to elaborate: http://www.futurederm.com/2012/04/25/how-ph-affects-the-skin/ - in any case lemon is only 2 pH units more acidic than your normal skin pH which makes it a mild AHA treatment so if you can suggest using AHA exfoliation but not lemon then you are contradicting yourself - lemons are fine as long as they are fresh and organic and not used all over your face but only the areas you need it most - as long you don't have any current breakouts or broken skin you will be fine as long as you moisturize and use an SPF afterwards - we all suggest exfoliation but somehow think that lemons are bad in comparison when they do the exact same thing only without all the preservatives that synthetic exfoliants contain

Diana if its working for you great ,however lemons are not ment for dry to normal skin, acne ,or deeper skintones its also not ment for people who are not religious about applying spf every 2 hrs which is most people so really lemon is bad for the majority of skin types it can bleach deeper skintones and cause a loss of pigmentation on dry to normal skin it can dry it out irritate it or worse burn it and people with active acne shouldn't use it and for the few that it may work on which is oily skin they need to be applying there spf every 2 hrs and most people don't so all I'm saying is there are better choices but if it's working for you hun good , its just not going to for most skin types

PH is also on a logarithmic scale...so...a difference in 2 units is actually a difference in 200 units.

Mar 27, 2014

Diana T.

Log means base 10 Hun not base 20 so a difference of 2 means 10^2 which is 100... Anyways I know this but most cleansers are basic on the pH of 7-9 which is even worse for skin than lemon and water is pH 7 but our skin is at pH 4-6 which means for some water is more basic at a scale of 2 pH units so please tell me again why lemon is so bad in comparison to water or other cleansers - the pH alone is not a valid argument

And sorry traci yes I know everyone's skin is different but I just feel like whenever I suggest lemon I get all this backlash about oh it's too acidic when really it's not but I understand where you coming from girl not all skin is the same and different products work for different peeps I'm just personally tired of some ppl on this app who don't so their research and just spit out nonsense that's all nothing against anyone personally just please beauties do your own research before you give poor advice on this app thank you all!

I understand Diana and I never bash anything someone else is using if they find success in it ,and that goes for any product ,just offer a opinion and other options ,and don't let stuff upset you on here it's supposed to be fun and once you give someone all the information that's all you can do ,they don't have to agree ,I have said things plenty of times and people don't agree or they just ignore it lol I could care less :)
