And it didn't turn out as horribly as I thought it would!

I went to Otakon last weekend in Baltimore and painted myself and my boyfriend for a cosplay we were doing from Don't Hug Me I'm Scared. This is what we were going for (well kinda, my character is more white then gray).

And this was the final result!

On him I used:
- Ben Nye Professional Creme Colors (Blue and Red)
- Mehron Cake Makeup in Blue
- Ben Nye Neutral Set Powder

On me I used:
- Ben Nye Clown White (face)
- Non tac pros aide mixed with black paint (Body)
- Ben Nye Neutral Set Powder
- Ben Nye Super White Powder
- Mehron Star Blend in Black
- UD Liner (gel and liquid) in perversion
- Givenchy 4-1 mascara
- Lorac Pro Palette black shadow (the contour line isn't quite this harsh, it's the filter).
- A mix of random eyeliners on my lips because I forgot my black lipstick at home

Ben Nye final seal for both

Overall I was super impressed with everything that was used as it stayed in place from the time we put it on (6:30am) until we took it off (10pm) and switched into our other outfits. His neck was the only part that started to crease and I'm sure that's because I didn't powder it enough. But his face stayed blue and perfect all day despite his sweating. So for anyone looking for face paint, the creme colors is definitely the way to go.

Now as for the pros aide I ONLY used that because I didn't want to risk having anything smudge anywhere. I'm a slight perfectionist and had it gotten on my dress or anywhere like furniture it would have driven me nuts. I do not recommend this stuff for typical quick use as it's a b!tch to get off (took an hour of both of us scrubbing with 91% alcohol). It did not stay well at all on the palms of my hands but after taking to a random girl on the elevator in our hotel she told me you shouldn't put it on your palms as it doesn't stay well. I'll definitely keep that in mind for Anime USA in November.

The Ben Nye Clown White was great though and super easy to apply. Stayed very well up until I took it off.

And here's what he looks like when he's not completely blue and wigged up.

Looks awesome! Glad it all worked for you! I'm not a fan of PAX because it is really unhealthy (not to mention a total PITA to wash off), but it looks like it held up great!

When I painted myself green for my Maleficent costume, I used Mehron Barrier Spray then Kryolan Aquacolor then powder then Barrier Spray again, and it lasted pretty well on my hands even through washing and such. Next time I might try mixing it with Makeup Forever Aqua Seal and see how it holds up. Or, if I can afford it, use a PPI Skin Illustrator palette.

I love cosplaying, so much fun and creativity!
