3-6 small twisted buns on the top of your head! Works every time. Just a tad bit uncomfortable to sleep in but it prevents damage from heat :)

If you still want to use heat, I would strongly recommend a heat protectant. But, you can wrap the strand of hair around your two fingers and then hold it as a ring. Fold aluminum foil over all the "rings". Take your hair straightener and press for a little while. After all are done and cooled some, take the foil off and use hairspray. If you have heat protectant gloves, lie for curling barrels, I would use those.

Braids maybe? And sleep with them. Or I used to do this: I just rolled my hair on some toilet paper😂and after you roll all your hair just put it in a shower cap and sleep. You'll wake up to some amazing curls. Then, just spray them with some hairspray.

You can bun your wet hair at night, you'll have big lose curls in the morning :)

Flexi rods or bendy rollers.

Bendy rollers are brilliant, they give the best curls over night and there not hard to put in. Hardly ever use my curling iron anymore x

Super tight braids when you want curls ( most convenient to braid while wet after shower and sleep in them)
1) two tight braids on either side of your head
2) leave in for at least an hour
3) unbraid
4) fluff w/ fingers- DONT BRUSH!
5) lightly hairspray
