Yeah I think it's a cowlick, I have one in the same spot and it annoys the crap out of me. I just spray some hairspray on a comb and go over that area to "tame" it a bit

I know some things you can try would be to use gel to try to hold it down (even though hair gel is weird sometimes). Another idea would be to use a bobby pin or other clip to hold it down while it dries or while you sleep. I used to have that problem with my bangs and using a bobby pin while I slept worked for me. :)

You would want to train your cowlick when you get out of the shower take a round brush and blow dry it to the place you want it. keep doing this till its trained I hoped this helps.

I totally get you, I have this one strip of hair that won't curl and is extremely straight which is weird because the bottom half of my hair is natural curly and dark except that one strip is straight and super blonde (the rest of my hair is blonde except the bottom half)
