So one thing that I'm still trying to master along with my brows is contouring I'm not the best at it yet I'm still practicing with it and want to learn more like technique and color choice so I am very pale I have to get the lightest shade in all foundations and concealers so that should help give you an idea of how pale I am. anyway I've learned that contouring is supposed to act like a shadow to bring the features you want contoured out so instead of a brown/orangey shade like a bronzer is not right but a more brown/gray is the correct color. right now I am using a cool gray eye-shadow in my lorac 2 pallet because I have yet to find a contour shade for me. I am looking into too faced chocolate soleil bronzer or the milk chocolate soleil bronzer. and that is where I need help with. which one should be the one I get and can I use it to contour not bronze? and if you have any tips on the technique to contour that would be greatly appreciated all I do right now are my cheeks nose and sometimes my temples and jaw and I apologize for this long thread!

Thank you so much I am going to be starting a YouTube channel in the next few months and I've been really doubting myself that my makeup is that good to do a channel but my family is being so supportive and really encouraging me to follow my dream so I'm trying to like "study" and practice more lol I just want to do my best and give my viewers the best I can give so I just want to learn about the things I'm lacking because I am so nervous already!! lol.

Thank you!! how did you know when to start like what kind of video was your first one? and I'm nervous because I don't have the best self esteem like I hate my voice on recordings and what if I feel like I look ugly lol like those things make me nervous and I'm afraid I will keep being so hard on myself I'll never get my first video out do to my criticism if that makes sense.

Bronzer, even a matte bronzer, is not a contour product. If you're looking for a proper contour, check out Kevyn Aucoin. It's a little more pricey, but it is a universal shade that can be used easily on fair skin with a light hand.

I also have to get the lightest shade in any foundation and I'm a bronzephobe :-0, so I use NYX blush in taupe, cheap and works for pale skin.

NYX blush in taupe, Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting powder which is absolutely amazing, Illamasqua Creme Pigment in 'Hollow' works Beautifully on fair skin types. I wouldn't use a bronzer... the shades are usually warm as opposed to cool.

Whenever you put color on your face you are contouring your face even when you're not trying to. For example, when you apply blush (esp.higher on your cheeks) you are not just creating a flush, you are actually visually raising your cheekbones. When you're applying a lighter concealer under your eyes, you are visually bringing that area "forward' so it doesn't look dark and sunken. Actual contouring with a contouring powder is just a way to shift contouring into full gear. In saying that, if you find it difficult to find an actual contouring product for your SKINTONE, then I would suggest a natural pinky beige blush like Tarte Exposed. It is a blush, but the color is so neutral and nude looking that I consider it a hybrid of a blush & a contour. I HAVE a medium SKINTONE and use this blush in several ways. 1. I use it as a blush/contour when I want a less "done" look or when I don't have time to do both. 2. When I'm doing a heavier eye and want to use less color on my cheeks and lips. 3. when I want a natural out-doorsy no-makeup look. 4. When I'm not sure what color to use on my cheeks. 5. When I'm going to use a strong cheek color, I'll lighlitly dust Exposed on my cheeks 1st then dust the brighter shade over it so there is a more seamless gradual transition of color on my cheeks instead of a stark blob of bright color. 6. And sometimes when I do use blush and contour and notice that the 2 colors are not blending into each other the way I WANT it to. I lightly blend in a tiny amount of Exposed in-between the two colors for a seamless transition. So What I'm trying to say is, you can try Exposed as a contour for your pale skin, but even if it doesn't work out for you, there are so many other ways to use it because of its neutral, versatile shade.
