Clarisonics Do They Work?

I want to buy the Mia clarisonic that comes with with winter hydrating thongs and I get some acne. I watched a video from tymetheinfamous and she said she got cystic acne from it I really want to get into a skin care routine to really take care of my skin to really clear it up and hopefully get flawless skin.

I have the Mia clarisonic and I feel like it gives my skin a really good clean but it made no difference to my skin and didn't improve my acne.

The Clarisonic is a cleansing device so expecting it to cure acne is a bit unfair.
The Clarisonic cleans pass what we typically with our hands using sonic vibrations that pulse into the skin. The Clarisonic is suitable for all skin types but I would recommend it for normal to combo and oily skin types.

IT can be a number of factors as to why people break out from the clarisonic...
It can depend on what products they use and their routines, as well as irritation, what type of acne, skin issues etc. Most common is that most users 'purge', but each person is unique to their experience with the device as we don't know what, and how they treat their skin. You can use the clarisonic but if you follow with a comedogenic moisturizer and alcohol based toner curing acne won't exactly happen.

Alternatively, you can always use an AHA or BHA product which does the same and can treat a variety of skin issues as well. But I personally would not depend on a cleansing device to treat any kind of acne.

So what was said is correct, it isn't going to clear your acne, but it will help clean your skin which in combination with a proper skin care regimen will help improve your skin.
I have oily skin, and some acne breakouts and I find that when I use it it does help my skin feel refreshed. Just make sure you're cleaning the brush and switching the head out at least every three months. If you let bacterial build up there, it will transfer to your face.

I am not sure that it will help with acne since its a cleansing device. I have had my clarisonic Mia for about 2 weeks and have been using it everyday for 1 week. I have been extremely impressed with how clean my face feels after each use.
I know many ladies go thru the purge but I haven't.

I have had my Clarisonic for two years and it was honestly the best thing for my skin. When I first got it my skin had been breaking out really bad and nothing was helping (no matter what I tried and went to the Derm several times but it didn't help) so I decided to give the Clarisonic a shot. I don't like their cleansers and so I use whatever acne cleanser I have (right now I am using Philosophy Clear Days). I never had the purging problem like some do so I think that just depends on the persons skin type. I hear so many reviews about people who hate it, but I think the problem is using it incorrectly. 1- you have to get the correct brush head for your skin type. 2- do not press too hard, this is a major issue that people have, the Clarisonic does all the work, you just need to slowly and lightly move across the face, don't dig in. 3- Use it consistently. Obviously if you don't use it everyday its not going to work. In the two years that I have had mine, I have only not used it twice and boy did it show! I use mine every single night and after I have removed makeup first, I want it to give me a deep clean and not just try to have it remove my makeup. In the mornings I don't use it though (well I do when my skin is acting up) so I just wash my face with my regular cleanser. The first time I ever used my Clarisonic I first removed my makeup, washed my face like I normally did, and then used the Clarisonic... After I was finished, the brush head was brown!! It was so gross but showed me enough evidence that what I was doing before wasn't cutting it! Another important thing to remember is that other brushes out there (Olay, Clinque, etc) ARE NOTTT the same as the Clarisonic, because they do not have the sonic pulses that the Clarisonic provides, those brushes may seem just as good but prolonged use actually damages the skin because they are way too rough for the skin. Overall its expensive but because of how well it works I would be willing to pay more. Now to the acne part, it really made a difference and from my brown brush head story, just regular washing wasn't cutting it, and leaving all that junk in my skin thus resulting in breakouts. My skin really cleared up but naturally I still get pimples here and there but nothingggg like I used to. Does it completely treat acne, no, but sometimes you need to try multiple things to help clear the skin. But like I said, I rarely have breakouts now, and if so they are nothing like they used to be.

OK I'm not going to lie I only wash my face in the shower and I really want to get into a skincare regimen to get healthier skin and I have no idea where to start I have combo skin and I have no idea what products to use I was interested in the clarisonic to exfoliate and get into my pores I know it won't cure my acne but I just want a full face routine to get healthy clear glowing skin and it is something I am really trying to focus on I've been under too much stress so I really wanted to focus on getting healthy overall and that means I'm thinking about quitting smoking and really focusing on my skins needs and being healthy I just have no idea where to start I would like to start off with drugstore products because of budget then work my way up to high end I already know what high end brand I want to go with which is colleen Rothschild but since its really expensive I want to get into a habit and get my skin in good condition to use it its more of a wasting thing I guess but I have no idea what drugstore products to get started on

I have the aria and I don't see a HUGE difference in my skin. I've tried pretty much all the brushes and they don't make a difference. I have EXTREMELY oily skin and it doesn't help with that either.

The Body Shop Cleansers have great reviews and they are well priced. I also love CeraVe but its a good basic wash not something that is going to help with acne. I also love my Avon wash and its really reasonably priced, I don't know they name but its the one for acne and it comes in a white and purple bottle
