My hair is thinning quite a bit and a ton falls out throughout the day. what are good shampoo and conditioner to help get thicker longer hair? also what's the best hair vitamin?

Don't brush your hair when it's wet, go through it with your fingers or a wide toothed comb. And when you first get out of the shower, don't rub your hair, pat it or take an old cotton tshirt and wrap your hair in it. Hope I helped!! ;)

Oh and take prenatal vitamins to make your hair, skin, and nails all together healthy.

Before taking any supplements or vitamins I would consult your doctor first. In the meantime I think some things you can do are eliminate heat products, try to not put your hair up as much and as mentioned don't brush your hair when wet.

I agree with Ivette. Don't take pills, supplements or vitamins without having a doctor consultation.
A doctor can also check for underlying health problems

Your hair tends to re-new itself (kind of) every 7 years so it may just be changing :) it happened to me a couple months ago.

I'm uncertain as to the amount of hair you are losing, but if you see a sudden or alarming amount of strand loss in conjunction with thinning of the hair, I would suggest a simple blood test to ensure you are not deficient in some manner and that your thyroid is in check...and both can be remedied so I wouldn't worry.

That aside, Joico makes shampoo for thinning or damaged hair and is available at Marshalls most of the time. That may be of help in adding volume. I'd also use a Wet Brush (about $5) and a little leave-in treatment. When you dry your hair, pat it gently rather than rub it and try to ease up on the hot water and heat for a bit to see if you notice a difference. Lastly, I'd up my Iron, B, and E intake in my diet. Good luck!
