Ok, so I've been wanting to grow my hair out without having crazy split ends and I know people say that if you don't cut your hair it'll make it grow faster. I highly doubt that. My hair is also very greasy so I was wondering if there was a hair mask that won't make my hair greasy? I also heard that your not supposed to brush your hair after a shower? If that really makes a difference how would I not have tangles in my hair after showering besides using conditioner.

The masks shouldn't make your hair too greasy if you don't apply them above the earlobe, just stick to the bottom half and people say to comb it instead of brushing while it's still wet but I don't think it'll make a massive difference as long as your hair's healthy 😎

Microtrims keep splits at bay, but since hair grows from the follicle, trims do nothing to speed growth; that's all genetics. Trims do prevent/address splitting however thereby keeping hair healthier so it is essential for growing long locks.
Have you considered using a dry shampoo at the scalp for oily issues? Also, I'd recommend using a Wet Brush (about $5) for wet/dry hair...and brush gently in small sections. It minimizes breakage, detangles, and keeps hair soft. I love mine!

Yes I love the wet brushes!! (I have several) I wasn't sure if that would do any damage or not, I didn't think it would though so that's good to know :)

I have been growing my hair out for about 8 months. I have not once had a haircut nor brushed my hair in 8 months. But there are little things I do that are like that. When I am in the shower I put a lot of conditioner in and I just comb using my fingers. And when I get out of the shower I put its a ten in which helps even more to finger comb. And I honestly don't believe that we need a haircut ever couple of weeks it all depends on how you treat your hair. What I like to do is whenever I have time I look through my hair and find the bad pieces and just cut those ones. Why cut healthy hair when you are trying to grow it out. If your hair if very greasy I would try to wash it less. It sounds weird but it you wash your hair to often it gets oiler faster. But if your hair is just normally greasy try using dry shampoo. And don't put conditioner at the roots.
