The real question is what suits her in her mind? Try pinning back her hair and keeping it that way all day, away from the face. It's the little moments of catching your reflection throughout the day that makes or breaks a haircut. If she likes it, that's all that matters. I could see it working, personally.

I adore cuts like this (obviously)! With pixies it's really all mental. If you believe you can rock it and expel the confidence then people adore it. I also recommend not doing one big jump (unless she wants to donate her hair). She should cuts few inches off every few months. I waited until my haircut was a little under chin leangth to cut it all the way to a pixie.
