Its really good I love it and it is very light! About the sponge, I've seen some people cutting it off and just applying it with the fingers or a brush:)

I use a flat top foundation brush but I'm sure the beauty blender would work better, but I don't own one:p.

The sponge sucks. My dark circles are actually hollow, and the sponge is too big to fit. I just apply with my finger.

If you have DARK blue-purple circles like I do (I look like I have two shiners if I don't have makeup on), it won't cover them completely. It lightens them significantly, but not completely. Also, if you have those little wrinkles under your eyes from having deep-set eyes, it will crease.

Despite all of that, it is the vest concealer I have tried so far. My situation is uniquely difficult, so you will probably have better luck with it than I do.
