So I am 19 now and I have literally never had a skin care routine or used many products! Maybe some lotion in the winter and soap and water to wash my face...what are some good products and what's your routine?? Need to start getting into this more to take care of my skin!

I love all the st ives products, especially the green tea scrub and personally I like the garnier facial products-they work well but are also reasonably priced.

^don't use the apricot scrub, it's absolutely awful for your skin. Way too harsh. If you want to exfoliate, find a scrub that uses bursting beads instead of an apricot scrub, as those tend to have pieces of shell in them that leave tears in your skin. But again, if we don't know what your skin is like, it's hard to recommend products that will work for you.

Cetaphil or cerave cleansers and moisturizers and a exfoliater twice a week and spf daily is a good start.

I agree with Hannah. The apricot scrub is much too harsh, BUT the green tea scrub by st Ives is awesome and not harsh at all.

I'd assume you have pretty clear skin if you haven't used a lot of products. I'd say for your age stick to the basics cleanse w a face wash something gentle cetaphil, creave (pick one for your skin type dry, oily combo) exfoliate a couple of times a week w a scrub that contains round beads Olay has some or use an alha hydroxy acid, alpha hydrox is good. add in a serum you need some antioxidants again Olay is good. then this is a must always moisterize cereave pm lotion is great and use an spf moisturizer every morning

Ok and I have really dry skin and it's not bad for breakouts but have been noticing more lately maybe because I've been slacking on taking care of my face! Thank you all for your ideas and I will try your suggestions :)!!

I would recommend talking to an Esthetician in person so they can properly see your skin. They can identify your skin needs and issues. I would start with a light milk cleanser though and an exfoliator once a week. Moisturizer everyday with SPF and a mask if you like.

Apricot scrub isn't good. Do not listen to people who say it is. It will ruin your skin.
