What's an appropriate age to dye your hair an unnatural color?

I personally say between 16 or 18 but I would not judge someone for it. It's their hair and they can do what ever they please to it. No one has the right to judge someone else unless they've walked in their footsteps. I don't agree with your grandmother either..

I think it really depends... I think old people would tend to judge girls who dye their hair as being "rebellious", but I think today's young people are less judging of that kind of thing.

I honestly think their isn't a age for someone to be able to wear makeup or dye your hair.everyone has their own opinions and own likes, of course not everyone is going to like the clothes your wearing or the color of your hair but it shouldn't matter if you like it do you :)

I first dyed mine when I was 14. My grandmother didn't approve but she accepted it. I have since dyed my hair (my entire head) teal, and I'm almost 20 and have had my hair at least 1 unnatural color for the last 6 years. I'm in absolutely no position to judge.

I first dyed mine when I was 12 (13 now) my grandmaw was very against it but when I showed her she LOVED it. ^-^ jugs do what you think will look good do research on what other people do with similar quality as you.

I don't think it matters if you want to then do it but my mom doesn't approve :/ so I can't until I move out of the house

Generally middle school is when the experimenting starts. It's acceptable through the "finding yourself" stages(preteen-20s.) but after that, it's like "c'mon, grow up."

I might get crap for this, but I think you should be able to do whatever you want with your hair at any age. It isn't like hair is permanent. You can always chop it off, grow it back, dye it another color, etc. I dyed the under section of my hair pink, then rainbow in 8th grade, added blonde sections randomly in my hair and bangs (to fill with rainbow colors, of course) in 9th grade, kept it natural in 10th, went purple last year, and now It's black. I think the only people who look down upon those with colored hair would be the older generation (although I've gotten plenty of compliments on my purple hair from awesome elderly folks) or very conservative people.

I first dyed my hair when I was about 11 or 12. I got blue streaks, but it was barely noticeable because my hair is so dark. I think it was a good age - like Symone said, it's the age where you want to start experimenting. If kids are denied that, they're more likely to rebel later, or find a way to get their way anyway, behind their parents' back. Only a handful of schools in my country allow dyed hair, and I think that's a mistake. Students should be allowed to experiment. It's their hair, after all!

I think 13 14 15 years old.. For not damage your hair , I know a girl of 11 who did an ombré! Honestly , it was too early , I am not a person for judge , but 11 isn't a good age she did it just for do it as a beauty guru. Now her hair are so unhealthy , and for a while.

I'm 15 and have never dyed my hair but I'm planning on dying it blue this year (after March, when I'm 16). I'm also going to get a shitload of piercings then too but that's just me hahaha:)
