Do you think that once a style/makeup style is out people should stop doing it or using It? I've heard many people day things like that. I personally am not a fan of dropping something when it goes out of style. Like dark lippies just for fall? I'm not a fan of anything just for any season! What do you ladies think?!

I agree with you!

When a style is out I usually still wear it or use it. I think that if the person likes it, they can do it whenever they want. I only wear dark lips in the fall/winter because I usually wear light colors but that's me. If a person likes dark all the time then they should wear it year round. Whatever makes someone happy they should do it no matter if it's not a trend or that no one else is doing it.. They should do it simply because it make them happy and they like it.

Honestly I loathe trends. When things I like start to become trendy, I stop wearing/doing them. For example, I currently refuse to wear my combat boots (which are almost 5 years old right now), I refuse to wear winged eyeliner, I refuse to use Mac products. My hair was colored ombré for almost 4 years and I dyed my whole head when it became a real trend. The reasoning behind that being that personally I just like to do something different than everyone else is doing. I don't stop wearing things I completely LOVE, like dark lipstick (which btw I agree with you about, I wear it all year round).

But I also think that when everyone gets over combat boots I'll start wearing mine again.

To me trends are kind of stupid and I'll admit most trends do look good but the whole keeping up with them being made fun of if you don't it's just ridiculous. Me personally I like personality but you can't tell if anybody has one of thier own now of days they all seem the same. To me you should do what you want if anybody else has anything bad to say about it they have problems.

I've loved winged eyeliner even before it was a trend! I've seen girls just draw a line upward and not fill it in so it's just a line off their eye and I'm like THATS NOT HOW YOH DO IT!! It's like taking a bite out if a kit Kat, you can't! It's just wrong! I haven't been wearing my combat boots either. I've seen really girly ones, which are cute but they don't actually look like boots worn in combat! Mine do and that's why I love them! But I like wearing things different from everyone else, and usually what I wear is unintentionally different. I just see these girls at school looking like clones of each other at school and I'm like " where is your originality? I know it's in you!! " but then again, no one is really original. Everyone has already done something before you even thought of it. Sorry that took kind if a morbid turn! But it's true! I'll still always love my winged liner and combat boots, and a dark lip , maybe more when they leave the trendy world!

And I completely agree Laney!

Well I have the stereotypical combat boots, and then I have these, which I do still wear. My problem is that I don't want anyone to look at me and think "where is your originality?" The way you said you do, you know?

I agree with you:),if I like it I'm going to keep doing it or wearing it

Not a big deal. I'm not going to bitch and moan if something I like becomes a trend or stops being one. Everyone does things that please them and it's all about that. Yeah it's annoying to have a ton of people doing the same thing when in fact you've been doing it way before, but what're you going to do? I'm definitely not paying attention that much to clothes and shoe trends anyway lol. That's just my take on it. If you like it, do it.

Ooh! Hannah, those aren't what I'd consider stereotypical! Those are awesome! And I agree in the If you like it, do it!

Oh and I definitely don't pay attention to seasonal trends for makeup! I love all looks, all throughout the year lol.

I know :) but I also have the stereotypical ones and I don't wear those. Like I said, I follow trends so that I can avoid them, because I like being something different. At the same time if I find something I'm utterly and completely in love with (leggings, Jeffrey Campbell shoes, sneaker wedges) I wear it no matter what. If I'm not attached (winged liner, ombré, combat boots etc.) I run like I'm on fire haha.

Trends are overrated dress how you want when you want.

OMG I love Jeffrey Campbell shoes! But I'm also madly in love with correctly excited winged eyeliner! I see what you are saying! I couldn't live without my leggings!

Lol yeah there's a method to my madness :)

Don't like them or follow them, if its something I like I might do it butnot because its a trend but because I like it, I hate how everyone ends up having the same thing or wearing it, I think its stupid I just do me how I wanna do me.

I like to be a trend setter and just because its popular don't mean it looks good.. just my opinion.

Jan 5, 2014

Isabel M.

Exactly! I've seen some girls call grown out dye, ombré! I was like what? And I've seen some pretty insane trends.

Jan 5, 2014

Hannah K.

That's really the worst.^ like if you're going to try and be "trendy," at least do it RIGHT. No point in being a sheep if the trend is terrible.

YES! ^ EXACTLY

I just wear what I like whenever I feel like wearing it. lol. whether it's in style or not. I like what I like & trends aren't going to change that!

I don't really pay attention to trends. If I like something I wear/use it if I don't like it then I don't wear it, weather it's trendy or not.
