Heck yeah Tamara :) Such a positive outlook to have. My family is super against body modification and has NO problem voicing their opinions in front of me. They always try to make me feel bad about it or say I look ugly this way, but it's the way I feel most comfortable. :)

I have super long hair, although many people tell me to cut it to look more stylish. Don't care! I love my mermaid flowing hair! My husband is totally against me wearing makeup. He's sweet, he says I look better without it. I say he has to get his eyes checked and let me enjoy my hobby: experimenting with my products and my face. @Tamara you look beautiful with your short hair and the most beautiful of all is that big smile on your face. @Grace, I know exactly what you mean. No one sees what oneself sees in the mirror!

Look your look. Yea beauty is about what we feel comfortable and confident in not on what people like or think we should do. I have cut my hair super short almost boy short and I got a lot of negative comments from people around me but a lot of people that aren't that close loved it. Do what makes you happy and you won't make a mistake.

That is awesome! You look fantastic, and more importantly, very happy.
I have full support from my family, but my most of my friends don't get my style. I dress very "hippie-chic" and boho...basically I look weird all the time! I went through a period where I pushed my weirder clothes to the back of my closet and only wore very plain, basic clothes. I was self-conscious all the time. A few months ago I started rocking my own style, and I've never felt more confident and empowered. I also cut off my hair in November...everyone told me I'm going to regret it, because apparently, "All teenage girls want long hair!" Well, I'm in love with my new 'do and could not be happier.
Even though I don't know you at all, Tamara, I just want to say how proud I am of you! Coming out, so to speak, is not an easy thing to do, and you are incredibly brave :) and looking fab, might I add! <3
