Hey guys and dolls,
So I tore my meniscus a few days ago and now I get to wear an oh-so-fashionable leg brace and hobble around on crutches for a month or so until my knee is healed.
Problem is, I don't really know what to wear with this situation... I can't get jeans on (can't bend my leg at all), skirts get hitched up on the brace (hello indecent exposure), and I can't wear sweatpants or pyjamas to work/university (dress code).
Anyone have experience with a leg brace or even a cast? What did you wear? Also, how do you keep crutches from ruining your shirts? Mine are rubbing spots/wearing holes into the sides of my tee shirts.

Anything with leggings. I had the same brace from knee surgery and had to deal with it for the last month. they are warm, comfortable, and cute under large sweaters and stuff. plus they fit underneath the brace as if nothing was there :)

I have to wear about 4 braces on my knees and elbows everyday. I usually wear fancier tight black yoga pants or black dress pants with wider legs.

You could try maxi skirts maybe, even though the brace will lift it up, it'll still be long enough too cover you up, same with maxi dresses!

I would suggest putting some kind of foax fur or fabric over the top part of the crutches as well :) dress them up a little- they can be more comfortable and cute as well.

Thanks for the suggestions ladies! I am a little worried about tripping on a maxi skirt (I'm obviously not the most graceful or coordinated person). I think my work will make an exception for leggings as long as I wear a long enough sweater, given than I have this obnoxious brace to accommodate. Normally they are off-limits. If worst comes to worst, I can buy some super wide-leg trousers and try to wear them over the brace.
Thanks again!
