i LOVE nicki minajs makeup and her face is usually always flawless, in fact im not sure why she even has this much contouring on her relatively small nose. but that said im a little scared. if the very famous nicki minaj can have her conoutring look this badly in a photo (guessing it didnt look bad in person or they wld have fixed it) how bad does mine look to people on a daily basis? do i look like a freak when i contour my nose, cause if she does with whoever her pro makeup artist is, i sure as hell must! this is why i have refrained from doing a full on facial contour! fear of looking like this to the naked eye and even worst on camera captured forever!

I always wear the dramatic highlight & contouring, but always try to make it look seamless. & I'm aware that people KNOW that it's there, but if it looks good, then I don't care. :P If Kim K cam do it, then so can we!
P.S - If it makes you feel any better, Nicki is notorious for having terribly blended highlighting & contouring at public events. Blend away & you'll be fine :P

Woah. Lol. I've never seen how horrible her makeup looks! She's in dire need of a new MUA. But I do agree that the issue here is little to no blending of the contour and highlight. It looks crazy.

i usually love her makeup and skin. i think its just the lighitng hitting that particuar product they used to highlight her nose thats making it look lighter then it would in person. at least i hope so lol! itd be nuts if they let her go and stay out in public with those orange lines on her face

I'm all for crazy, weird makeup but I think contouring and blending is something that should always be done properly, at least on the face. That's a personal preference, of course, but it doesn't seem like something desireable even for those who like to go nuts. To me that's what the eyes are for.

I agree, I think people sometimes forget that the main purpose of makeup is to enhance what you already have. It's fun to play around but there is such a thing as too much sometimes.

I contour but not the way celeb makeup artists do it. No one's face is so badly shaped to need so much contouring. I do think that the problem a lot of the time with Nicki's makeup is blending but a lot of the time she wants her makeup that way. Remember while Joyce may be her makeup artist, the mua only really does as much as the client wants them to. Sometime's her fails aren't because she isn't good at what she does, it's just that the client is very specific about what they want. Kim K in the other hand I think they have mastered contouring on her, it's USUALLY pretty flawless although sometimes it's over highlighted and her under eye are looks ridiculously bright. Again blending is the key in all of this! :)
