Two weeks ago my MIL noticed a spot on my back that was looking a little suspect. I went to my dermo to have her look at it. It fit all the skin cancer markers so she conducted a incision (removal) for further testing. I didn't pay much attention to the concerned look on her face because I figured it was just a false alarm. Well, I got the results today and it wasn't great news. Apparently the cancer was found in an area that I always have a hard time applying sunblock. I always use a shot glass amount of sunblock on my body every single day but that one lil zone on my back I always missed. I'm not going to rant about skin cancer dangers and sunblock use but I will say this...respect the sun by taking the proper precautions to protect your skin because you only have one shell. Now I have to go thru further testing to make sure I'm fine internally (bones & organs). Not fun. :((

So sorry to hear they, it's a good thing you pay attention to your body and checked it out. I have to admit in one of those people that don't wear sunblock often, I usually only use it in the summer when I know I'll be out in the sun all day. You've given me something to think about. All the best for you.

You'll be ok, glad you caught it early, do you all wear sunblock where your clothes covers you? I only wear sunblock on exposed areas...

The same thing just happened to my grandma! It was a tiny spot on her inner arm she just didn't think of putting sunscreen on! I hope everything goes well for you and you'll be in my thoughts! <3 A few weeks ago I noticed a lump in my neck and my doctors think it's cancerous too. I've been in the hospital like every day lol. Hope everything goes well for you! 😘👊💕☺️

I'll be praying for you Shelley, and you too, Grace. I have to admit that this was a bit of a reality check for me, to hear firsthand from someone rather than just the statistics. I love being out in the sun and sometimes neglect my sunscreen.

Love and light to you, Shelley! And I can second this...my mom just had two cancerous spots removed. And they were so aggressive we still don't know if they got it in time. It just made me realize that skin cancer is nothing to play with.
