Need Help Hair Dye!!

Ugh so I have used splat it went orange in a week on me and I dyed my hair with loreal hicolor in magenta and loved it but it is now orange it seems like it lasted two weeks and each time I showered more came out I literally was washing my dye out each time I showered and hi color dye is suppose to be permanant. I am thinking about trying manic panics vampire red but I'm afraid thatll wash out in two weeks too does anyone know of a goid vibrant lasting permanent red hair dye? right now I have orange in my hair and I hate it.

Punky Color is the best hair dye I've ever used. Try looking into those. If it turns orange again, go to a salon.

Ok thanks and I have no idea why tgis is happening could be hormones I had a baby a year ago and I dyed my hair in 7th grade red using raw color from hot topic and it stayed a really long time and didnt fade.

Red is the hardest colour to keep in, remember to wash your hair in cold water:) definitely helps!

Try ion colors I've heard they stay very well and there only demi.

Red color ion is pretty awful so is their pink. Special effects for sure for reds. If you go to a salon don't use chi because it fades to a gross orange in a month and than Paul Mitchell is more natural colors that also don't stay in all that long.

Make sure your using a color protecting shampoo and conditioner. I actually use loreal feria in r68. I use color keep Happy shampoo and conditioner when I shower, rinse in lukewarm water, then use the conditioner that comes with the dye once a week. my hair barely fades when I do that. a little comes out when I rinse a little Warmer But I only need to redye when my roots grow out. This is a few months since I last dyed it. they also have other reds in the line. this one is a true auburn.

I used Vampire Red on mine and it turned neon red on me. To my surprise, the color refuses to fade. it's been like this for 3 weeks and it's still incredibly vibrant.

Manic panic will definitely wash out quickly because it's like a Demi permanent. They're supposed to wash out:) and I used to dye my hair red and its the color that won't stay in, no matter what brand they dye is. Red hair dye usually washes out the fastest out of all the other hair colors :c

Thank you everyone I guess I'm going to just have to stock up on my reds lol I might buy a seprate conditionor and add red hair dye to it for days when it really looks faded
