do you think there are makeup elves (fairies, whatever you believe in) that sneak in while we sleep & take that *perfect* blush we can never find again, or that gorgeous lipstick that you JUST had.

true story. i bought the palladio herbal eyeliner pencil because G at nouveaucheap.blogspot.com said it was awesome. lost it before i got to try it. so THEN, i bought milaini's liquif'eye liner because everyone everywhere was saying it was great. lost before i could even swatch it!


haha i'm just a bit bummed, but i hope some people got a little chuckle out of this (minus my pain of losing the eyeliners)! i'm off to dig through the sunday papers for the obvious coupons & ads. am i the only one who reads the obits, arrests, births, weddings, etc religiously?

^OMG, it visits you too, Terra?!? I panic whenever I lose my lip balms... which is why I purchase at least 3 of each - one for my vanity, one for my purse and one for my office.

I *almost* lost my Sugarpill single e/s in Bulletproof when I forgot to put it back in my bag after touching up in the car while waiting to go somewhere... stinking bf took a turn too quickly, and I hadn't realized I left it on the center console until it slid between that stupid black hole between the seat and center console.

It took me 20 minutes to fish it out. Looking for a black eyeshadow sitting atop black interior in a small dark/black space with limited reach SUCKS... at least I won this time!

Soma = 1, Car trying to eat my eyeshadow = 0.

They steal my false eyelashes, eyelash glue and my eyeliner. ONLY when I go out and I need it. When I have no where to go they put it back and laugh at me looking puzzled. Every.Single.Time.

I wonder if the Make up Fairies are related to the Clothes/Shoe Fairies because I have the same problem with those too....

i'm glad i'm not crazy & not the only one being visited by these little pests. i lose my chapstick/lip balm constantly but i have only my forgetful self to blame for that.
(my friends know by now that if we're getting out of the car/going somewhere & i start frantically freaking out, to look for that shit pronto!)

i'm sure they'll turn up when i give my room a deep cleaning, which i'm in the process of starting (getting the bathroom over with). but come ON! half the time, the items turn up in spots i KNOW i check. i know it. >:O

here's to hoping these little fuckwads can be conquered. haha. (;

@kimberly; they superglued something? haha they must have it out for you bad! :p

@gretal; i do that daily! or i'm a waitress, so i'm constantly looking for my pen when it's in my other hand or attached to my shirt (poking my neck...duh).

@nancy; haha makes total sense! lippies are small enough to cozy down into your socks! i bet my socks partying with your socks too! :p

@louise; you should set up a camera & record your ferret one night to see what she does! i love those videos of raccoons sneaking in doggie doors & such!

Yeah I have about 20 separate little gremlins who come and take things often. My phone, my gum, and the ever so popular lip balms. I, too, buy lip balms in bulk and they are CONSTANTLY disappearing. Really upsetting because I buy lip balm for the sole purpose to hydrate my lips which become dry really quick. Even in my car, they steal my change and old CD's. If anyone's found an exterminator or whatever you use to get rid of these little demons, let me know...haha.

Thank goodness. I thought I was the only one who belived in them, They stole my Pixi Eye Bright Liner (MAJOR tragedy) and hid it for a few days. Luckily they were kind enough to give them back. I guess mine are like the Sour Patch Kids from the commercials, lol. Now they took my Stila One Step Correct Primer this morning:/ They also steal my pens and pencils. I hate those fairies and elves.
