If you search the forums there are several threads on hair growth. lol Almost everyone wants to grow their hair longer and faster but the fact is that nothing you take (as in vitamins and supplements) will make it grow faster. Hair has a cycle of growing, dying and falling out and while supplements and vitamins can help make future hair grow out better it won't make your hair grow faster.
Also if you're going to take a supplement TALK TO A DOCTOR FIRST. Most of the so-called hair, skin, nails supplements contain too high of a dosage of minerals and vitamins and depending on YOUR needs (based on a blood test) you could EASILY OVERDOSE on supplements. What can happen to you if you take too much of a certain mineral or vitamin? Depends. There can be permanent bone damage, permanent liver damage along with other permanent damage to your kidneys and even your intestines. Don't take any supplement or vitamin without consulting with your doctor first and getting a blood test to see where you're deficient.

Where I used to work, cancer patients were taking Biotin to regrow hair. I talked to my dr and he said I could take that but you have to start out on a small dose to make sure you can tolerate it (300-500mg) Obviously, ASK your own DOCTOR (hate to get yelled at on here...) You can buy it anywhere you can find vitamins. I'm now on 1000mg daily and my hair has never felt better and grown so fast. I once stopped for about a month or two because I kept forgetting to pick more up and I noticed a huge change in my hair so I ran to the store to stock up! You do have to be careful and not take to much because just like with Iron, more than enough can be bad for you.
