Ok, ladies! I could definitely use some advice! I cut my hair short this past summer and loved the cut, but now I really want to grow my hair back out. The only problem is that my hair, which is extremely thick and extremely curly, is in that awkward stage between cuts! What can I do to improve my hair right now without taking to much length off? Help me please!!

Have you thought about getting extensions and cutting them so that it will blend with your hair and you wont be cutting any of your hair off :) hope that helped!

Texture texture texture!! I am in the same boat. I used to shave my sides and I'm now growing out my hair and it's painful, so my stylist cut a lot of texture into my hair so that it's not as puffy/helmet-like. :D

I am in that awkward stage too and my hair is really thick and wavy =/ Right now I'm just letting it be natural and just making sure the back is trimmed because I have that weird "pointed" hairline.

That settles it then! I think I'll get the layers redone, but have them take as little length off as possible! Thanks, Ladies! :3

I completely agree with Heather. I am in the same boat and it's so daunting. You really have no choice but to deal with it and just add texture to by your time.

now when you all say texture...would that mean to straighten it if you have curly hair? I am going through the same thing. I cannot wait and I am dying with this mushroom style

Adding texture to hair means to create layers to the hair to lighten the thickness, so it's not all one length, heavy and thick. It shouldn't remove the overall length.
