It's really frustrating when you spend a lot of time and effort for a review or a look or something and when you post it you get "1 comment" or none. How do you get people to take notice without spamming? :)

it can get frustrating. The thing is to make sure most importantly to blog for yourself. It kinda takes the pressure off a bit because you're sharing with the world what you love. Even if your one comment is that you're an inspiration, go with that and keep that in mind each time you feel like giving up. My co-workers have given me everything from praise to negativity and I take that into consideration because my blog is making an appearance some way or another. So keep doing you and remember that just because they aren't commenting, doesn't mean they are not visiting or following.:)

Thank you Jasmine. I try my best to keep that in mind but it still lets me down. Mostly when I post something that I spent a lot of time into and I think people are really going to enjoy and I hardly get a response. Thank you so much for your advice and your comment. Made me feel better. I love blogging so much!

As much as I love Beautylish, you have to spread yourself out across multiple platforms and be active in multiple communities to make more friends/followers. I find Beautylish to be one of the easiest to network on though.
I know how you feel though... Once I started to get some followers after all my hard work started to pay off, life got busy and blogging had to take a hiatus for a bit. Just keep at it! Also, try reporting ur content on various sites like blogger, tumblr, Wordpress, etc.
Some people have a preference of one or the other. It's a bit redundant, but it shows you're catering to their needs and it makes your content easier to access. =]

Do you know of any other beauty networking sites that are fun like Beautylish ? :)

Hi Kassie! I just saw this and thought I'd share. I recently found a site called hellocotton and it's quite similar to bloglovin. That definitely helped me get my blog out there a little bit more. I don't know of any others sites similar to beautylish except for makeupbee, but you're already a part of that. I hope this helps!

I have a beauty channel with almost 90 videos and 460 something subscribers while some people have way less videos than me but have thousands of subscribers. i just have to remember it takes time and you have to get yourself out there.

Well receiving 1 comment (or none at all) doesn't necessarily mean no one is viewing your blog or posts. I personally don't always comment each and every blog I follow, but I do read all the posts. It takes time to gain a readership or viewership though.

Of all, BL is my fav... But of course, there is makeupbee, makeup alley, makeup411, spectra.net, stylehive, bellasugar, etc.
Haha, ur probably going to use three max though. I can't stand having so many accounts because you tend to neglect the others for the one you favor. Find the ones you're most comfortable with and keep 3 max so you don't overwhelm yourself.
Hope that helps! =]

Well, I wouldn't say that 500 followers is not a lot, but I just followed. :) And not for pity, either. You're gorgeous and your blog is very good, I will check back regularly. And don't worry about the commenting: I love Scrangie's blog and check it multiple times a week, but it's rare that I post a comment. But I will try to on your blog, just to make your day. :) Check out mine? http://www.justmakeitup3.blogspot.com/
It's a work in progress.

@Calla: I will be sure to follow you! Love your looks! I know 500 is a decent amount but sometimes I don't get any comments and sometimes I get 20. I'm still trying to figure out what my readers like to see. I get a little let down when a few other bloggers who started the same time as me are twice as successful. But I suppose it depends on how you define success :p
@Soma: I will be sure to try a few of those sites. I am already on here, Beautylish, Makeupbee, twitter, Facebook and tumblr lol xD It is a lot to handle lol. But I enjoy it! :D

Oh, I know what you mean. I started making videos in October (I think) and I only have 10 subscribers, whereas there are people that don't even make videos that are more successful. Makes me feel pathetic. But it just pushes me to try harder. That's why I'm making videos so regularly now, even though no one watches them!

And girls remember that some girls go SPAM on OTHER girls pages saying stuff like, SUB FOR A SUB? That's not EARNING a sub though that's gonna WATCH and ENJOY your videos. I use to spam randomly then I just stopped because it gets tiring, frustrating and it's hella annoying. When I stopped, I actually noticed MORE comments everyday. It takes TIME and PATIENCE to get big or bigger, trust me. I only have 94 subs and 7 videos. You'll get there in time though! Good luck <3

@Lili: I absolutely refuse to spam anyone because, first of all it wont get me any followers and secondly its annoying. I ignore all the spam I get from people asking me to follow them.

That's GOOD. Spamming is hella annoying especially if you do it on someone elses page. It's just rude.

I know how you feel. I have like 84 videos on my beauty channel and have only 240 subscribers. I have been on youtube for 5 months now...I don't know if that's good or bad. I love making videos though so its worth the wait.
