So I know this isnt beauty related but me and a close guy friend are doing a survey on how many women like romance. In his past relationships it was 0 from wat he tells me. So i want to know how many women would like a candle lit dinner with soft music in the background followed by a walk in the park or maybe slow dancing in the park. If you have your own romantic ideas leave them below including what you wear as far as makeup and a outfit

when going on a date; I think neutral is the way to go in makeup.

I like the idea of the park and a candle lit dinner
Dancing in the park- not so much lol.

Sharing ice cream is nice
picnic in the park at night is nice...except for mosquito's lol
minature golf

attire should be casual :) Hope I helped some

Going for a meal is fun, but im personally not one for "romantic walks" and stuff. Eating a takeaway & watching a movie is just as good ^_^
I'd wear more of an "evening look" makeup-wise and a casual "daytime" dress.

I can never do a typical movie night... I love me romance, but if a guy wants to keep my interest, they HAVE to go above and BEYOND. If he's worth the trouble, he needs to be able to do something special to get my attention from the get-go.

You can challenge a guy to get creative in the beginning if he's game. Even if it turns out you two end up friends, you can both say you shared some adventure together, and he has a public record of being a fun cassanova to other women for having creative dates... Which ups his game. =p

I'll go all out makeup-wise if he makes it special the first time. I can setltle for dinner and a movie when we settle down into being comfortable with each other three months later... But by then, I'd be happy with a blockbuster night. =]

Oh, as for ideas..

Go-kart racing, hot air ballooning, hiking (somewhere scenic), skydiving, dinner cruise, cooking classes, open mic night at a coffee shop, archery range, salsa classes, wine tasting, etc... Physical activities you can share to conversate about. Movies in my opinion are antisocial... But it all depends on the individual. Hope that helps!

I am a simple person to please. So anything that I didn't think of is great! I love surprises. Wether it is a dinner, a walk in the city at night ( which I love ) : ) or just alone quality time is fine with me. If it is a romantic night out on the town I would dress casual but add the accessories to dress it up a bit. Makeup wise soft light brown smokey eye. With a nude lip.

I agree with Soma! I love doing something completely different from the norm as opposed to the typical. When my boyfriend and I started dating he took me to the Walt Disney Family Museum because he knew that I love everything Disney (he does too luckily) and we went to all of these hidden nooks in San Francisco. I think a man being able to show a girl something completely different and unknown is way better than a dinner, walk or movie.

As for makeup and hair, I think it depends on what you're comfortable with wearing. Toning it down a little is always a safer bet because men typically like toned down makeup, but at the same time its the confidence you exude. If you feel your best wearing bolder eye shadow, go for it!

First dates? The older and *ahem* more mature I get I seem to value classic romance. When I was 20 I was totally OK with... whatever. But now I think I'd really like to be treated like the classy broad that I am. So YEA, bring on that soft music and nice dinner. Because, damnit, I want you to listen to me while we enjoy good food and really get to know each other! Maybe I've just been watching too much Millionaire Matchmakers???

And as for what I'd wear? Handsdown, a lovely little dress that shows off the goods but doesn't give it all away. Heels are a must. Hair down, most likely softly curled and classic looking makeup. Because, well.. that's how I feel comfy now. But if you're a mini skirt and red lipstick kinda dame, well then go for that! I think it's all about just being your true self (OK, maybe a tad bit more polished than usual)... but nothing too outside the norm.

Yeah.

I love unique & exciting dates - but having some sensual romance once in a while is amazing. & I say once in a while because I feel like it keeps the spontaneous aspect of the relationship alive. Plus, it's a great way to feel those early relationship butterflies all over again. ^_^

Plus, romance isn't so black & white. It's possible to have romance in a unique setting. For example, my bf & I went to a astronomy museum once (LA Griffith observatory) & watched the sunset hit the city as we over looked all of LA on top of the mountain while drinking Sobes & eating chips together. It was one of the more romantic things in my life minus the fancy dinners or a dressed up occasion.

Idc what anybody says, romance is nice. :D
