So apparently spider lashes are "in" for fall. I keep seeing people do tutorials and everything incorporating spider lashes. What do y'all think of this trend? :/

on me and for me I HATE THEM! But if your going for something more daring it's worth a try. I think it's all how you like your lashes.

That's what I thought, Andrew, it kind of looks like you just don't know what you're doing. But i mean if people like it, more power to em!! :) Andreaschoice did a tutorial on them, macbarbie07, and some other well-knowns YT gurus...so its like a real trend going on haha, not just bad gurus. :)

I think it's going to end up being one of those trends people look back on and are beating themselves up over the fact that they jumped on that bandwagon lol.

I completely agree with you, Terra! I think it looks a zillion times better on the top lashes than it does the bottom lashes

i remember watching an old friend do her lashes like that (which were natural for her. she was sort of punky rocker grungish). five or six coats of great lash! i thought it was so cool looking with heavy eyeliner (oh you know the look), then that night, i watched her take it off & decided it just wasn't worth it.

Spider lashes are HORRIBLE, nearly everyone I know does it and I just want to hand them a makeup wipe...WHY has it come into fashion? :S I don't understand, runway or everyday, they still look gross and nasty. Who cares what's in fashion? Do what you love and what you feel comfortable in! :D

YES!! I am FINALLY on trend! (joking)!!
I see this all the time. Something really awful comes in and then right back out again...sort of like when hairy underarms came in ten years ago and celebrities "rocked" those on the red carpet. Ugh. That, and the neon spandex. It wasn't a good look on me as a kid in the 80's and even worse if I tried it now!

I feel as though this is one of those faux pas that ends up a fashion trend ... like spandex in the 80s ;) I'm all about long, lovely, wispy lashes!

I think spider lashes are okay as long as they're done right. If you look like you have 3 jumbo lashes... NO! However, I've seen some looks where a couple are clumped together and it just looks like they have nice thick lashes. In fact, in some cases I like it more than regular lashes just because the lashes stand out better.

As much as they are claiming to be in, I don't think they will catch on because (like everyone above) nobody likes them!! I think those girls on youtube are just trying to make you think they are "trendy" by mimicking runway looks. We don't dress like the models on the runway, so why would we wear our makeup like them?!

i think that eyelashes are one of those things that are completely personal, from what product you prefer, to how/how much you apply, to what trend you adapt. i would say if you want to try it go for it, and see if it fits your face and personality.

I'm with Ashely, I like them. But I like extreme makeup and I also like retro makeup like the 1920s spider lash using black wax or the heavy mascara from the 1960s.
