Sigma E45 vs MAC 226

Hello, everyone!

I love my Sigma E45 brush, it's the small tapered blending brush. Like a MAC 217 but with a smaller "point" on the end. I have small eyes, so this is my HG crease brush.

I am about to do a video comparing it with my new MAC 226, and I am wondering if any of you have another brand's brush that is similar?

Thanks in advance,

Question: Are the dupes reallllll good? Because I'm looking for cheaper alternatives to my mac brushes!

I have the LY38 and 38a, stila#30, and hakuhodo equivalent. I love tapered blending brushes, and I like the MAC 226, but they're too inconsistent with how they are cut. I have two that are tapered, and one that's really fluffy. Other brands are much more standard with the way they cut their brushes. My dupes aren't necessarily cheaper... But they reform well. The cheapest of the group has to be the Stila one, since it's double ended and I received it in a set from Costco.

Binks,

I think that for the most part they really are very good dupes. There are some differences, but I have liked that because like with the E45, I like some of them better. I like Sigma pencil brushes, even though they are not in my opinion like MAC, because I can cut my crease very well with them. They are a tiny bit fluffier than MAC, at least the ones I have. My MAC 226 is not as good as the Sigma, it's not as tapered. But that may be like Soma is saying, I may have gotten a fluffy one or something!

Soma,

I will look for the Stila one. I agree, a lot of my MAC brushes are not consistent. I have learned to go to the store instead of ordering online now. Do you remember about how much the Hakuhodo one was? I saw a video MissChievous did on those and they seem amazing! Did you get a set, or can you?

Also, the revlon contour shadow brush is a great dupe too! I just bought the short handled one since I'll be traveling next week. Can't complain for $5.00 @Walgreens!

The hakuhodo ones cost the same or a bit more than MAC brushes. Depends on the style u select. I have the one from the s100 series, but I would prefer the black handled one since it's more sturdier... And cheaper.

Soma,

I like that Revlon brush. It's a good blender for the price! I have the short handle, too. I have never seen it here with the longer handle.
