So I Think I Have An Addiction IDK If Its Just Me Or Its Happened You Guys But I Go To A Store And Im Like Im Not Gonna Get Any Make-Up Or Go Near The Beauty Section But Somehow I Always End Up Getting Some Sort Of Make-Up Product Like Today For Example I Went To Target In The Morning With My BF To Get JUST A CD And Go To School But No My Addiction Got The Best Of Me And I Bought Make Up -__-

Hey! It started in a summer that all my friends went to trip to disney and since I live in brazil and it's far my mom did not let me go. So I spent days and days just watching beauty gurus, reading blogs and stuff :)

Hey Barbara! I was in Brazil last summer visiting family. While there I was looking around for unique makeup items, but since I'm the only one into makeup in my family down there, I couldn't really see anything interesting. What would be the more unique things there?

You're certainly not alone. I always hit the makeup aisle when I'm supposed to be shopping for groceries, house stuff, etc. Even if I'm just tagging along with my husband at a place like Target, we always separate in there (cause really, I have no interest in looking at electronics or tools) and he always knows where to find me...in the makeup aisle with a few pairs of lashes, some nail polish, lip gloss and maybe an eyeshadow pot or two. :-)

you are not alone. im the same way when i walk into a store. tell myself im not going to the beauty section or i'll just go & look. but nope, i always end up with a basket full of goodies. my mom always knows where to find me if we go to the store together & split up.

Oh, definitely! I'm pretty sure most of us are like this. Especially since we're all on a forum TALKING about makeup on our free time. XD

Today, I actually went to a Beauty Supply store to ONLY buy some hair dye & walked out with hair dye, & 3 new 20 piece eyeshadow pallets. >_> Did I need them? Of course not! but in my mind, as soon as I saw them I thought "NEEEEEEEEED" XD

I even have an organizer dedicated just to write down & cross out makeup/beauty/general shopping things I want to get. The thing is FULL of lists. =\ At one point, it got SO bad that my boyfriend actually sat me down & had a serious talk with me about how I should spend EVERY penny I get on makeup. It was baaaaadd. I have almost no room for these things anymore!
I have better self control now, but I definitely don't buy anything & everything I see & want anymore & stick to my HG essentials. Though I'd be lying if I said I don't get a high every time I'm purchasing a new lipstick!

I think when I first really started getting into makeup I would ALWAYS walk away from a store with some type of beauty product. But I stopped because I was tired of buying and ending up not liking the product. So unless I really think or know that I will like it then I would buy it. But no matter where or what store I ALWAYS LOOK lol so if I go missing everyone already know where I am : )

My heart skips a beat when I see something new I must have... The boyfriend laments trips to Target because he knows it's a black hole that'll suck up his time waiting around for me to poke through each aisle...

...according to the show My Strange Addiction, if you spend more than two hours a day shopping online, you have an addiction to shopping. When the bf pointed that out to me while we watched, I responded, "pffftttt... ONLY TWO HOURS?! Weak."

I spend time on it because I bargain shop though... So that redeems me. Sorta'. =]

^Lol... it's true though! I browse sale emails at work, I come home and browse in my leisure time reading up on things I want/need... Only 2 hours committed to shopping? Those people must be impulse buyers with no limit on their credit cards! I consider my time on Beautylish "shopping" too... and lord only knows how much time I spend on here alone.  ;P

Kathleen really? did you enjoy the trip? I think that here it's not so different since our culture is so influenced by north americans.. Our brands are mostly the same. But here people wear a LOT of bright colors! xx

I always love the trip, Barbara. I love Brazil and miss my family so much. But I loved the color! And I noticed long ago things were ahead in terms of fashion by at least 6 months. I love the clothes and shoes and everything else.  :D

Oh goooodness! I think every Beautylish girl will relate to this. It's almost scary how addicted we become, isn't it!? That's the realest love a girl will ever have... Lol. I can't go to ANY store without buying something beauty-related. And if for some reason I don't buy the product, I beat myself up the whole way home! Lol.
