I feel as though I don't naturally have major preferences when it comes to the types of eye shadows I buy, but I know some people that really do!
When it comes to eye shadows, do you naturally steer clear of certain types?
I will literally wear anything as long as I love the color! Loose doesn't bother me in the least, I would actually say I wear loose as much as I wear pressed. I like that a lot of loose shadows don't include some of the ingredients I cringe over a bit in my favorite pressed shadows, too. I'm definitely more picky about cream shadows because they have to stay crease-free. And that can be a challenge even with primer!

Yeah I usually stay clear of cream eye shadow because of the creasing issue. I prefer pressed but I like loose too!

Creams are awesome for bases, but like Amanda says, the creasing can be an issue. I usually get pressed since it's widely available, but there are a few loose eyeshadow I have my eye on. :D

I agree with Andrea, that creams are awesome for bases and I usually put a pressed powder on top. I don't have creases on my asian eyes (thanks monolid) so I never have the crease issue.

I don't have access to many loose shadows, so I guess that's why I lust after them like I do...

I like cream eyeshadows for bases. Loose eyeshadows/pigment are great cause you can do a lot more with them and of course pressed eyeshadows are my fav more easy to handle and travel with : )

i defintely own mostly pressed shadow but i love loose and have been picking up a lot of it lately. i've been getting more into cream shadows as well to use as a base to change/intensify a color overtop of it

On my wonderfully oily lids , creams usually tend to crease A LOT (doesn't matter what brand)therefore, i have to put the cream very lightly if I really want to use it. For the most part I mainly use pressed eye shadow or pigments! I love pigments but their fall out is a lot greater than pressed shadows in my opinion. I also agree on the responses above with how easy it is to travel with pressed eye shadows.

I prefer them in this order:
1.) pressed
2.) cream
3.) loose
It's primarily a cleanliness issue with me. I HATE making messes... and loose powders get EVERYWHERE. I haven't had much of a problem with creasing from Benefit's creaseless cream shadows and MUFE aqua creams. Cream shadows are a great alternative for anyone on the go that doesn't want to carry around a bunch of brushes for application. If you have an issue with creasing, just apply in thin layers and build it up. It'll adhere better, and you'll have less chances of it creasing on you. =)
I still prefer pressed shadows though, just because I have much more control when I am using tools to apply it.

I love it! We all have such different opinions, but it's fun to read what everyone prefers ;)
I have an olive complexion and though I don't have oily skin, the one area I have any oil on my skin is on my lids. It's not bad at all, but some cream shadows crease no matter what I do. I think part of it is just finding the cream shadow that works for you! I've found some that I love, and many that were epic fails ;)

For me, I definitely would avoid the cream eyeshadow. I have dry skin but weirdly oily eyelids I guess. So, not to say I don't use them, but I try my best to avoid them. My favorites are loose and pressed. :)

I prefer pressed, but at the same time I do love my Bare Study cream eyeshadow base from MAC :) so i'd have to say both!

i only use cream shadows as bases, but pretty much every single day i go back to pressed eyeshadows, i don't use pigments that often.
