I would like to suggest that Beautylish events should be notified to beauties, reguardless of where the Beautylish event is going to take place. For example, I live in the Las Vegas area, I wouldnt mind driving a couple of hours down to California where most Beautylish events are held as from what I've seen. IM REALLY DYING TO ATTEND TO ONE !! Or at least host one in Las Vegas. :))

If I am following someone it is probably because they have good advice; I would like to be able to see what the comments that he or she has posted. You can already do it with reviews, I would like to see it applied with the comments as well.
Also making another section that is just for YouTube Advice or Blog Advice so that the people who want it can find it easier and there will not be as many repeat questions.
Also a popular question section where posts which get more than 50 hits go because more than likely a lot of people will comment on it; however when you have several posts like that it pushes newer posts to the bottom.
ie if i asked a question about something then other people comment on the more popular threads like "where is everyone from," "favorite YouTube Guru," "top three favorite beauty products," "link to your latest blog post," or "What is on your nails" then my original question is pushed to the bottom and I don't have the chance to have my question answered. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy reading all the posts I just talked about, but it is frustrating when you want advice and you feel like no one can read your post because it keeps getting pushed to the bottom.

Add an alert mods/staff button in the talk sections to report threads that violate the spirit of Beautylish. There have been a few in the past where the new member just came and spammed threads selling products to Mary Kay, Avon and Mark cosmetics without really discussing products.

Hi Christina,
A save feature would be nice when reviewing a product. Just in case we're not able to finish, we can finish it at a later time,
I realized this as I was typing up a review and getting sleepy, but I wanted to finish it since there was no save feature and I was deep in my review.
Thanks and I'm loving Beautylish!

I think bloggers/youtube topics should have their own talk section instead of throwing it in with general topics. I also think users should have a say in where certain talk threads belong, so maybe if there are 5 votes from users for it to be moved from "General" to "Advice, tips, tricks..."

I agree with Soma and Rachel. It is hard to find posts sometimes because of all those sorts of topics. My additional suggestions in that regard are:
1) Bloggers should be able to syndicate their blog posts here, similar to how Youtubers can syndicate their videos. This could be done via Blogger or Wordpress profiles, or (for self-hosted blogs) RSS feeds.
2) Add fields in profiles so members can list their favourite YT gurus and beauty blogs.
Others...
1) I think this has been brought up before, but I'd like a way to add products I actually *own* to my profile.
2) "Reply with Quote" function.
I also think each "Talk" section should be better defined, so people have a clearer idea of what should go where. I'd also add a couple more sections.
Get To Know You ~ NEW SECTION. Threads like "Where are you from?" or intro threads can go here.
Products and Brands ~ Talk about specific brands or specific products.
Advice, Tips, and Tricks ~ Advice on product application and that sort of thing.
Blogger/Youtuber Discussion ~ NEW SECTION. Anything related to beauty blogging or Youtube.
General ~ Everything else.
(I also think General should be listed *last*, not first.)

A place to chat, or send messages !^^

This is such a good idea! I really think a way to directly reply to people on these threads would be nice, and a chat room of some sort! :)

Great thread! I think it would be great if the TALK section could be turned into a forum where threads can be merged. There are so many duplicate threads out there with great responses scattered all over the place.

Yer i agree with Katrine. You should be able to send messages to people you follow or people who follower you. :)

I agree with being notified of events! I also wish their was a way to see a log of your notifications! Instead of just seeing the last three things! Unless there is already a way to do this that I just don't know

Yes being notified on the homepage or something instead of getting them all sent to your inbox!

Kind of a small thing, but it was the first thing I noticed when I joined. There should be an option to "like" a product or brand without having to click on it and being directed to a whole different page. My computer is a bit slow sometimes so not having to switch pages would make things a lot easier :)

@Jenna G. That would be awesome O.O!

Also, allow users to have a small space for signatures in the forums. It gets annoying seeing people spam their blog info [I completely support what you are doing] but omg, sometimes enough is ENOUGH! That's kind of the reason I'd like to see bloggers/youtubers have their own space. Some users just want to ingest their beauty related info, and not so much blogging info. Of course, when desired, we will always know where to mosey on to... =)
Also, for my fellow bloggers, maybe allow a button generator to link our beautylish profiles to our pages? =)

Even better! How about implement a bulletin system for users to promote their own pages and whatnot? Like how myspace has it?

I think there should be something so people can search for topics, so they can check to make sure it's not already created. There are a lot of repeated threads.

Completely agree with Shelly's first point. There should definitely be a way to syndicate blog feeds to profiles similarly to how YouTube videos are done. Considering the amount of beauty bloggers on here, it would be really beneficial!
I also second what Soma said regarding a generator of some sort for a button/widget/badge to add to your blog.

I would love to see Facebook or Twitter-like status updates on people's profiles, they can announce what things they're buying or stuff like that.
Also having a blog/journaling component attached to your profile would be nice too. I have a blog but it's a personal blog that mostly friends/family read, so I feel weird putting beauty/fashion-related stuff on there.

This may seem a little off the topic of "beauty" in general but I was really surprised that Beautylish didn't have a fashion section. I think it'd be great if Beautylish would be able to incorporate that so gals/guys on here can share their makeup/beauty looks along with their outfits and inspirations. But I'm all in for the chat room/chatting system thing. It's be really nice to be able to communicate with other people on Beautylish and get an instant reply especially if it's a question that needs immediate attention such as: "What should I do with my hair for a date I have in 45 minutes?!"
