Checked out the collection yesterday and it wasnt all that great. Only picked up mermaids tear and the silver shatter. All the other colors looked like something they already came out with but just renamed it.

I like the muted/muddy pastel colors of the collection (it is like an antiqued take on spring colors). I am currently wearing Stranger Tides and Skull and Glossbones. I also have Planks a lot on my toes. They didn't have the Silver Shatter where I went, but I will be picking that up as soon as I see it.
Oh, I got the mini collection and I am glad I did because I wouldn't have known I liked some of these colors. I originally only wanted Sparrow Me The Drama, now I want to buy full sizes of the ones I am wearing.

I finally went and bought the entire Pirates collection a couple of weeks ago. I found three Wet 'n' Wild ones can substitute the OPI with two being about a 90% match and only one being a 99% match (but that closer match is actually from the Femme De Cirque not Pirates).

As for the Pirates collection itself. I like the colors despite the fact that the colors are muted a bit. They seem to be a "flat" to me (not matte but flat like the sky on a cloudy gray day type of flat). I've been meaning to get nail wheels and do a video of my collection since right now my nails are crap to do a nail video.
I still don't think the colors fit the movie and the colors definitely don't have a Caribbean feel to them (unless you think of the Caribbean on a rainy dull day).

Kristina: I agree with you I also enjoy the muted/muddy look. Maybe I'm such a fan because I don't own anything muted like this. I'm always attracted to very vibrant colors, so when this came out I was vert intrigued.
Yasmin: I also agree with you with there being a cheaper substitute out there.

I finally found them at a store but was totally underwhelmed! They're muted, yes, and normally I like those type of colors, but something about them... they were too Easter-egg-y looking?? They might look different on, and I have been more into brights lately, so I might have been biased.

I bought Sparrow Me The Drama and Skull And Glossbones with the Silver Shatter. Haven't tried them out yet though. I saw swatches on a blog of the Skull And Glossbones with the Silver Shatter over it and LOVED it! Wouldn't have thought I would like the color combo but it was unexpectedly fab! Thinking about a polish change tonight because I can't wait to try them...
