Hey everyone, just wanted to see if anyone has any advice for removing facial hair.
I'm not talking big pluckable hairs here lol- I mean the fine baby "fuzz" that I have on my cheeks and above my lips. It's super blonde and you can't really see it but I think my foundation would look nicer if it wasn't there. Any tips are appreciated!

Some people might cringe but I have done this for +10 years: I wax it off. lol. My makeup does look better. I have waxed my cheeks and the space on my temples between my hairline and my eyebrow. I powder my skin with a talc-free product, so the wax grabs the hair and is less likely to stick to the skin. I use the oil from the wax to kit removes any remaining wax then I immediately wash my face with a mild soap, pat dry and follow with toner and moisturizer.

Hmm.. I'm really breakout prone but it sounds like I could give wax a try in a small area. I tried the cream hair remover stuff once and broke out terribly. Apparenly there's this tool that pulls the hairs out (it's "u" shaped)... has anyone used that thing?

Yeah, the cream remover was bad news for me too... plus the product's odor. grooossssss.

Give the new Olay hair removal treatment a shot. I tried it & love it! I use it for my upper lip area.

try going to a salon and getting it threaded, much better than waxing.

Try laser hair removal, I did it a few years ago and after 6 sessions its hardly noticeable that hair was there, go to a Dermatologist though, not a salon or anything like that.

If you're sensitive I'd go to a Salon, they're more likely to know how to do it without irritating your skin.
I have sensitive skin as well but wax, even though I shouldn't. I find Hair Removal Creams are not as good as the hair grows back fast and you're back to square one.
Ask about threading, I have no professional experience with having it done but it might be right for you :)

Epicare is a facial threading spring that you can use and it's got great reviews. I really want to try it myself, I feel like it has the potential to be life changing haha

If you do resort to hair removal I recommend that you go to a reputable place like European Wax Center. I am in Jersey so I usually go to the one in Brick with a great staff but, they are pretty much everywhere and know what they are doing. I don't remove my facial hair (kmainly I don't have much to remove) but I do go in for other stuff and they are like, legit. Just do your research, but never do it yourself or SHAVE! eeck!

omg I didnt know lighter tone women suffered with this problem too. I'm like a medium dark and I've recently been threading at home, its soo much cheaper, last longer than any other methods :)

Make some sugar wax using 2 cups of sugar, 1/4 of lemon juice, and 1/4 of water. Place in the microwave for about 2 mins. Make sure to check on it every 15 secs and use a microwavable bowl/cup. Then after your done let it cool for 10 mins. Then take a popsicle stick or butter knife and place on any spot. Then take a piece of fabric or waxing strip and place it on there. Rub roughly in opposite direction of hair growth. Then pull it off. And there you go!! A cheap and easy way to remove hair. If u have remaining product, place in the fridge with plastic wrap!

Has anyone tried what Atiyah suggested?? ^

@Caitlyn What Atiyah mentioned really does work great for what it is! Definitely gets off all the peach fuzz and quite a bit of the larger "pluckable" hairs. For being homemade, it's definately awesome! (: me and my best friend use it all the time

You can use nair! It works perfectly! My cousin had like black hairs above her lip and the cream took it all off!

I've tried waxing, but my skin is sensitive that for the next 3 days it felt like I had a really bad sunburn. I even tried epilating once- definitely NOT a good idea on the face!
I did electrolysis a couple times, but it just wasn't worth the awful pain and so much money for the results to come along so slowly.
I've tried to make the sugar wax before, but I could never get it sticky enough to work. If you can figure it out, go for it.

For my face I have it waxed - I tend to do it myself as salon's don't always get the temperature of the wax right and after I was burnt twice, I just got the kit and learned to do it myself :)

I agree with Tara K. Especially if they're fine hairs, threading is the way to go!

I just tried threading on my own this morning, and it worked great! I just grabbed some thread and did it while I watched TV. You should definitely give it a try.
