Hey Everyone my birthday is coming up this weekend and I wanted to get the 88 coastal scents warm palette...Do any of you own it? like it or not? any coastal scents products recommended?

I don't have the 88 warm palette but I have the others and they are nice . I like them. I got one for my lil cousin to practice with and she likes it a lot . I use it often though so my colors are almost out. I plan the get the 120 from bhcosmetics.com

Dont have the warm either, but I own the 88 and 88 shimmer (which I havent even used), but regular 88 has some a mix of hits and misses, and the shadows are a little powedery but its not too bad. I too want to try the 120. lol

I have the warm palette and like it. Some of the colors look the same, and can be a bit chalky. But I still think it's a good buy, and you can do lots of looks with it.

I also have the 88 color palette, and like that a lot more. The colors are pretty pigmented and last all day, with a primer of course.

I have the warm one and i use it every day, its really good. and Kristen, maybe your palette was a bad one becuase mine is great. Although in the past i have gotten their 77 one and that was so chalky and no color but my sister got it after me and the pay off and quality was amzing, so maybe sometimes they dont check them all that great. still love coastal scents though! great comapny:)

I am interested in the 88 warm and 88 shimmer as well. I have the 28 neutral (see blog link in my proflie to find my recent blog review on that). The 28 neutral is okay, but would not purchase again (very chalky)...but, I still use it a lot (and got it no-name on ebay).

i own the 88 shimmer palette and, it's a great palette to have, especially if your just starting out with your makeup collection, it's always nice to have a palette with practicly every color you need, the only down side i would say is that the colors yellow and red in this palette aren't as bright as i would like them to be, but over all it's very nice

I have 4 of the 88 palettes and i love them. When i saw the original 88 i didnt think i would ever touch the warm palette but i love it. It has become my go to for my day to day.

I have three of coastal scents palettes the metal mania, warm palette and the original palette. I actually like all of them except for the orginal palette, It's ok but I didn't use it that much so I ended up giving it away. The warm palette is really good though i think it would be a great palette to invest in. By the way just in case you don't know coastal scents is having a 35%off sale right now so the warm palette is $16.22.

i have the warm palette and metal mania. it's good if you're someone like me that feels the need to own an unnecessary amount of neutral shadows. it's pigmented as well, which is always a plus!

I hated them and swapped them away quickly... Some people love them. I found them to be chalky and unusable without a base. (I had the 88 shimmer and reg. palettes, along with their bridal/neutral) If you do get them, buy on eBay... Don't support CS as a company, they have terrible customer service, and they filter their product reviews. My bad reviews never were posted and the owners were very unprofessional in handling how I felt about their products.

@Soma, I do agree with you on their customer service sucking. One of my palettes eyeshadows started breaking up on their own, I had not dropped it or bump it they were just breaking up on their own. I sent an email asking them about this and the lady was a straight up ass with a smart mouth.

I bought a palette from BH cosmetics, and 2 other ones from ebay. They all have the same quality, which is very pigmented btw. The only thing you're really paying for with those palettes is a stamp on the front with a different name. The ebay ones are usually way cheaper, including the shipping.

Gennett M: OMG, my sentiments EXACTLY! Seriously, whomever put that person in charge of handling their unhappy customers is an IDIOT, and if they were self-appointed, they sure need a kick in the pants so they give that position up to someone else more capable. You can ALWAYS salvage a bad experience with a customer if you extend yourself in a friendly manner to reconcile the situation... but they don't know how to react to a customer's reactions! I was sent a NASTY email choc-full of SNARK for my reviews [although I will admit, my review was full of snark as well]... it's because they know they sell a sub-par product they cannot defend for the $$$ they charge you for it. If they were unhappy with my review they could have chosen to not communicate with me any further since they already decided not to post it... little did they know, I still was interested in trying the Silica powders, gel liners and other products on another purchase... but they have made a mortal enemy of me by retaliating with correspondence. I will NEVER support them, and I will continue to save my friends from experiencing disappointment with them as much as possible.

I will only suggest ppl buy from eBay for one cosmetic thing, and that will be that generic 88-CS type of palettes since they are cheaper direct through them. Odds are, your Ebay experience will have MUCH better customer service since they need positive feedback... you'll save $, and you won't have to pay as much for shipping either.

Soma, what really tripped me out is I wasn't even asking them to replace the palette or send my money back I was just asking a simple question on why the eye shadows were breaking up and the lady was just plain rude. As a business there are going to be people that maynot like their product so I don't understand why they take the reviews down that are not to their liking. As long as you don't have to talk to the their customer services the service is ok but if for whatever reason you need to talk to them trouble, trouble, lol. I purchase raw black African soap from them but started buying it elsewhere.

I like my 88 warm palette... It's so handy. Can't say I'm the biggest fan of the Coastal Scents palette packaging quality - I wouldn't travel with it or anything. But just for at home, its great! Great pigmentation, great staying power over a base. Totally dig it.
