I've used pencil and liquid (pen and otherwise); it usually depends on my mood and if I want a strong line. I have one of e.l.f.'s gel liners but haven't tried it yet.
Anyhoo, pencil-wise, I've recently fallen in love with Prestige's Total Intensity Eyeliners. These. Do. Not. Budge. Liquid, I'm currently using Wet 'n' Wild's one.

I like them all! Pencil-Stilla waterproof...its so smooth and last all day . Gel-MAC fluidline is great! Pen -MAC brand-but i forget what its called, i know they only carry the one kind! I hope this helped :)

I Personally have oily lids and the best one for that is Stila Waterproof stay all day Liquid eyeliner!

Gel for sure! Believe it or not Wet n Wild's gel liner is pretty amazing & inexpensive!!! Pencil Milani's Liquif'eye is smude & waterproof! Liquid I'd go with L'Oreal (the brush one, not the sponge tip thingy)

I love liquid liner. Santee's Waterproof liquid is really impressive and It's a cheapo dollar store brand. Literally lasts all day though. IMPRESSED. Love the applicator too. Felt tip but small and firm. Is waterproof, but easy to remove just with rubbing.. Lasts 12 hours + Put it on this morning and its still there!! Just as it was.

Gel (MAC Fluidline)for the top lid and pencil for the water and lash line. The brand of the pencil I use varies, depending on the look I'm going for. I rotate between MAC, Urban Decay and Make Up Forever. Urban Decay smudges so I use that on my bottom lash line for a smokey eye.

Gel all the way. I use the smashbox one, or the maybelline one, which is a bit more reasonably priced, but still very good quality and waterproof :)

At the moment Im just using Models Own eyeliner (comes with a build in sharpener cap and blender on the other end) in white to line my waterline...at first it was a little...snaggy/scratchy on my skin but after a second application when the liner had softened up it really glides on quite nicely!
Im definitely on the lookout for a more creamier textured liner though..I've heard NYX do a good white jumbo liner in "milk" is it? If anyones every used this then let me know how you felt on my wall maybe..I'm in two minds whether to have a go or not hehe..

It really depends on what I'm trying to achieve. Most days, I use liquid liner (Sephora's liquid liner in black), either applied straight from the bottle with the applicator brush (theirs is super-small and very accurate) or blended out with an angled brush.
When I'm looking for a more dramatic effect, I'll use a gel. MAC Fluidline is still my favourite, which I apply with an angled brush.
I still can't use anything on my water except very, very soft pencils. Urban Decay's 24/7 liners work well enough except they don't go on terribly pigmented and then tear off after a while. Unfortunately, it's the only texture my poor eyes can deal with that close to the eye itself.

I use them all, pencil, gel, or pen. But my current fav is def pens. I have ELF, MAC, CG. I think ELF works the best for me and it's cheap!!

I use all three, MAC Fluidline Gel, MAC Penultimate, an MAC Feline Kohl Power Pencil. I mostly use the pen for everyday liner and the kohl power pencil for the waterline.

I've got a variety & use different kinds for different things. If I need my liner to last all day, I prefer gel liners. MAC fluidlines are good, but I have a black Sephora brand one & it's great too.
On an average day where I don't mind if my liner fades a bit or I can do touch ups easily, I prefer the Urban Decay pencil liners. They wear really well & the colours are fab!

I've been using the Maybelline waterproof liquid liner it's amazing for your waterline it lasts all day and you don't have to worry about it smudging

For all around eyeliners, my HG is Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof eyeliner. The colors are dark and pigmented, it's smudgeable, but dries to last all day (no running, smudging, flaking). It's great in the waterline, both top and bottom, too.
Other good ones are Bobbi Brown Gel Liners, Stila's new Waterproof Smudgesticks (good diverse color range for more fun looks), and Stila's Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Liner.

I love MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack. Can't live without it! It lasts the entire day, it's waterproof and smudge-proof.
