So I just brought a bottle of tea tree oil and accident,y knocked it over and there is only the tiniest bit left in the bottle right now, which is very upsetting as I payed good money for it and it's been working wonders on my skin, but only now have I just realised the smell! So please give me some information on how to get the smell of tea tree oil out of the carpet!

This happened recently at my local pharmacy. They ended up having to shampoo the carpet. You could try baking soda, as it absorbs both odor and moisture. Begin by taking a folded rag and pressing firmly down on the spot...holding for a few seconds...then pressing again. Flip the rag over and repeat until you've drawn as much as you can from not only the rug, but padding beneath. Then..sprinkle the baking soda heavily and allow it to sit a few hours before you vacuum it up...and repeat. You may also want to light a candle/crack a window/put a fan on in the room. It is so strong that inhaling fumes may irritate your eyes, nose or throat. I'd cover my face properly when blotting excess up. Good luck!

Burt's Bees makes some in a glass tube with a rollerball. Can still break, but avoids spills.
