I make one with coconut oil and white sugar, or sweet almonds oil, I use it to scrub while in the shower then rinse, just be careful the shower floor can get slippery.

No worries Kris, any oil will do, you can always add a vanilla or coconut extract just to make it smell good. :) I admit I totally fell once doing this and at the time I was already off balance (pregnant) so I'm really careful now. Good luck.

Thank you, ladies, you've been so helpful. I've decided to start using more of that home-made, natural stuff. And I think it will be more fun mixing and trying it :)

I've always used on wet skin in the shower. It seems most of you put it on dry skin. Is it not too rough on dry skin?
Dec 22, 2013
Kelly H.
Jane it actually works better on dry skin.

I will try that- though I'm still a little nervous-silly since I can always jump in the shower!

I use olive oil and brown sugar with a splash of lime juice. Make a batch and put in a container. Search on Pinterest for DIY recipes.
