I would go see a doctor. You could go to your local pharmacist and ask he/she for advice first. They will suggest something over the counter that you can use.

It looks like an allergic reaction to me. Take a Benadryl and see if it helps.

Maybe try taking a cool bath to sooth the inflammation and warmth on your skin

Without soap so it doesn't irritate

I agree with the above: see a doctor. It isn't Reynaud's, your hands don't swell to the point of peeling like that (I have Reynaud's). It could be an allergy or an infection, either way definitely see a doctor before trying to treat it yourself. The longer you wait and try to treat it yourself without knowing what it actually is, the worse it can get.

I'm no doctor but it may be exfoliative keratolysis. I have this too. Google it. It's not contagious but uncomfortable and obviously not pretty. A lot of doctors don't know what it is. Basically, it's that your skin is not able to retain moisture very well. I only get it in the summer on both my hands and feet. It feels just like you described. It feels like my hands and feet are swelling which makes sense because they're dehydrated. You should try using lotions with urea in it. When I feel it coming on I start using gold bond ultimate lotion-restoring with CoQ10. You can find it at the drugstore. Hope this helps!

BTW I have a pretty mild case of it and since I've been using this lotion it's completely gone.

Kimiko, I did some research and I'm thinking that could be it. I always have clammy palms and I just got back from a vacation where I did a ton of walking in hot weather and my feet were extremely sweaty. Thanks for the info!

I would be applying a think amount of cream/lotion and put socks on before you go to bed. can even apply it to your hands and put gloves on. I would try it for a few times but not every night. I get dermatitis very bad on my hands and apply my cream and gloves. it worked and I havent had it since.
