I wore lipgloss haha! I wanted to wear mascara too, but my mom didn't let me! I started wearing mascara,powde,concealer and eyeliner when I was 13 and eyeshadow,blush and all the other stuff like that when I was 14-15 :)

Nope. I also don't get very young girls with dyed hair. Cannot relate on any level. I'd stick with fun stuff like glosses...tinted lip balms...little perfume and experiment with clothes, a great haircut and accessories.

If she wants to wear makeup, I would get her a concealer for if she has blemishes and an eyelash curler to open up her eyes! If she wants to define her lashes more, I'd say go with a clear mascara that can be used on her lashes and brows, and brown mascaras for the weekends. I'd also get some fun tinted lip balms and lip glosses!

No way! I first wore makeup when I was 13, and by that I mean just mascara and lipgloss, and only on occasions, I started going into concealer, powder, blush eyeshadow etc.when I was about 15. Although it is up to your sister to decide what she wants, girls should embrace their natural beauty and there is no need for a 12 year old to wear makeup, in my opinion, it can make the most beautiful girls very insecure.

From my experience I would have started wearing makeup in seventh grade if I was her or start the summer before eighth grade. I started wearing makeup in fifth grade and everyone thought I was weird doing it. So I stopped. And now all I even wear is mascara. Some people think I'm weird not wearing makeup. I need but I don't bother. You could probably save a lot of money from not wearing makeup. I like to go natural anyways. It's not a bad thing either. So I say at least wait till seventh or eighth grade year but if you want to now I would say mascara and lip gloss.
