I don't think an 11 year old would NEED make-up, but when I was her age, I wore it only for like special occassions like big parties and the graduation (from primary school) event.

No. I did not. And at high school, all I wore was a clearasil powder to reduce shine and lip balm. That's all I needed and I think that's all most girls need. It's sad to see how young girls are starting these days. You have plenty of time to wear makeup and dye your hair, why start earlier than necessary? A youthful face is much prettier than one piled with makeup...

I just started wearing makeup and I'm 14, almost in high school. I have friends who have been wearing it long and I agree, it's too young.

Lip gloss and maybe mascara it's till fun but natural. I would recommend light colored "lip sticks" like maybelline color whispers in a light color because its like a tinted lip balm and maybe the revlon lip butters.

No. I only wore Chapstick when my lips were chapped. I was 15 when I started to wear eyeliner and now I'm 18 and I only wear makeup when there is a special occasion.. But if my face is blotchy, I wear a bb cream.

So a lot of these comments will say no but if you have something that makes you feel good or happy even beautiful wear it! Your sister may be young but insecurities happen a lot in girls that age. Try with little things and help her adjust to it, help her grow confident. Then as she ages at more, there is nothing wrong with wearing makeup it's how you wear it for it to be wrong.

I think when girls start middle school/jr. High is a good time to syart doing super natural looks but seriously only with parental supervision ha or there will be some funky things going on. Mascara, blush lipgloss, MAYBE concealor/foundation if they have acne or redness.

12/13 would be a better age she's a bit too young. When I was her age I wore lipgloss but that's it

One of my sisters friend's parents gave her clear mascara. I think it is fine to give a girl of any age a tiny bit of neutral makeup. I think I used a powder foundation when I was 12 but that was because of extreme acne.

Yes I wore mascara and eyeshadow when I was 11, I was in fifth grade and I wasnt allowed to wear makeup but my friend bought be some. I wore wayyy too much eyeshadow and should have layed off the stuff, I didnt wear that much but It was an excessive amount. Although it was a lot I felt special, I had a boyfriend and he was really sweet. I was pretty popular because I was wearing makeup and it felt good to be able to do something that made me seem older. I definitely learned from my mistakes, and it actually gave me a lot of experience. for me, I would suggest either clear or light mascara. MAYBE a little eyeshadow but just for special occasions. it really depends on what your like, what I mean is that lets say that you have really bushy eyebrows...I think that to save you from embarrassment you should be able to pluck them or do something to make them look better. so if you want makeup...just do as little as possible until you actually need all the other stuff.
