Really? there are 6th graders wearing full face. I wore lip gloss. I didn't wear full face until after I graduated. Even now I don't do it all the time. I feel bad for there skin, there going to look like there 50 when there 25. What do you older girls think. (Anyone out of high school)?

I agree, and I'm the same as you even through highschool I never wore a full face, just mascara,

I'm in 8th Grade, and I've been doing full face since mid year 7th Grade. For me, I've always loved makeup. And to me, it's not a way to cover up flaws, it's an art. ❤

It freaks me out because these little girls look like they're adults when they're not even teens!

I feel that they should wear whatever they want. Although I didn't wear foundation in 6th grade , I wore light eyeshadow and lipgloss. Along with mascara and a little bronzer (: I've always liked makeup and never did it to look older. I'm a junior in high school now and I wear a full face...

I don't understand the obsession to look older. They will get there one day and then they will want to look younger. Enjoy your childhood

I agree with you Hailey.

It's cos of the media. :/ and apps like this. I love beautylish, don't get me wrong but in a way we inspire younger girls and so they try to emulate us. shows like toddlers and tiaras encourage the use of make up and false lashes/teeth to enhance beauty. Around 6th grade is when girls are also starting to hit puberty and so naturally they attempt to attract those they are attracted too. I'm not sure if this answers your question, but I'm pretty sure this is what's going on

I didn't start wearing a full face everyday until I was 19 but I'm not going to say younger girls shouldn't that's up to their parents. Just because their young doesn't mean that they don't love makeup as much as we do.

I'm 16 and on high school. And I wear full face makeup because I'm absolutely in love with make up and it's like a hobby to me, to put my makeup on. And I think there's nothing wrong with it.

And it has nothing to do with looking older.

I'm in grade 11, and I wear light makeup for an everyday look. However, in grade 8, I had just been allowed to wear makeup, so I went full on, with gaudy eyeshadows and everything, it was awful. I really wish someone had been there to stop me!! Ahaha, I think around grade 9, I think that's a good time to start playing around with a light makeup.

I started in sixth grade and it was just eyeliner as the years went on I started to pack it on because I was really insecure with myself because I was bigger than other girls and everyone else was doing it. But now it's just something I love to do. And I can go out without makeup I just choose not too. If you're good at something why not express it?

Yeah I agree that if you love makeup then wear it, but it's getting a bit ridiculous when young children are wearing a full face when they clearly don't need to. Experimenting and playing around is fine but when you've barely hit puberty and and are wearing a full face looks so strange to me lol.
Yeah I know it has nothing to do with "wanting to look older" but the fact is that it makes you look older even if that's not the intention.

I think it's horrible. I started wearing makeup when I was 12, but that was only mascara.

I have started noticing this a lot recently too. Personally at that age I never wore any makeup at all, I don't think it looks right to wear a full face of makeup when you are so young. They should be able to feel comfortable and happy looking the age they actually are :)

I agree with you Kate R.
I feel like kids are growing up too fast now. I didn't even have a cell phone until high school and now I see kids in grade 4 that are texting. It's crazy to me.

I don't feel bad for their skin, considering 80-85% of skin aging is caused by the sun and like all foundations have SPF in them these days.

But if we're being honest, I think them and their parents should be the only ones concerned with it. Not a bunch of grown women and teenagers who want to sit around on the internet and talk about it like it's actually their business or something.

Not only is it their makeup but these young girls are wearing booty shorts and push-up bras.
